I've had SimpliSafe with monitoring for a couple of years now. Very happy with my system and installation is pretty painless. They do advertise a lot, but don't let that scare you off. 😄
This song (m.soundcloud.com/picciuto/paper-box?in=%2Fpicciuto%2Fsets%2Fworks-in-progressand) and CNC at work.... Sweeeet! Looks like ready for MTV Awards material!
My first thought (pre-finish) was "this would be a great chip 'n dip bowl" but I love your wife's idea too! It's always great when a project has tons of possible applications and interesting techniques!
Dude this is so sick! Feel like if anybody else made the exact same thing it would be the most complicated video ever but the way you explain/execute the project is perfect. Great work man
You don't have to get out your CNC if you don't want to. But if you do, you must engage Spaceship Mode. 🛸 Fun project that looks super cool! And the shop is looking bright, colorful, and fun! Thanks for sharing!
That's a good looking nacho tray with integrated salsa bowl! Love the geometric lid. It's really nice to see you experiment and being enthusiastic about it!
shocking that this is the first i've seen this design on youtube with how well it came out and seemingly simple it was. love the concept, will be using it.
In a previous video some time ago you had a countersink bit set in a case.. I believe it had plug cutters too maybe but I cant remember. Can you provide a link or brand of that? I have been looking through videos and I cant find it. thank you!
Dear Mr. Picciuto, I don’t understand how you centered the inside cover to the outside cover. I think you might have wanted to show that, but that’s hindsight. Also I have your bandsaw box book. Very nice and I made some of them. I have made bandsaw boxes before but never added the flocking to the inside, works great, so thanks for teaching me that procedure.
Terrific idea & well executed David! I can see making something like that to be used as a serving tray for cheese & crackers during the holidays! 👍👍😉😉👏👏
Speaking of hot glue.... Try putting a strip of tape (weaker the sticky the better) around the outside bottom (side of hot glue) so you can lay your hot glue and it sticks to the tape... and not your wood. It's just an idea I thought I would share and I hope it works to make situations like that a little easier. I love your vids, keep on keepin on!
I've missed the last few videos but I've always enjoyed your channel but I have to say your new background looks like a big purple dinosaur is about to pop out and give you a hand with your project. Very cool project.

I love how you turned your space from garage to shop to artists studio. Awesome.
I was about to comment similarly. I love how colorful it is.
I'm diggin the 80's vibe

@@michakwiatkowski7571 great stuff! Keep it coming!
World's nicest chip and dip platter :). Looks awesome keep up the good work David.

If he used sheet acrylic, yes. The resin isn't food safe unfortunately!
There is a company that does make food safe epoxy. I believe it's called Artresin
Food safe is only a recommendation, you don't have to eat the epoxy, obviously.
Dude this is so sick! Feel like if anybody else made the exact same thing it would be the most complicated video ever but the way you explain/execute the project is perfect. Great work man
Thank you Ryan!
That would make a great tabletop rpg dice tray!
Really fancy dice tray! :D I wouldnt mind having that at the table when I play DnD :💜
The world’s cleanest workshop!
That turned out beautiful! Great idea David!

Thanks Seth!!
Love the design. Appreciate your abilities to think outside the box (inside the box?)
Man, your shop is looking amazing! I already liked it when you first moved in there but now you've just taken it to another level.
Absolutely beautiful, great thinking outside the box, in another box, with a lid.
I love your combination of the creative lid pattern and the minimal use of epoxy that really makes the natural beauty of wood stand out.
It's like "Boxception" up in here today! Great project as always 👍🏻
That's a good looking nacho tray with integrated salsa bowl! Love the geometric lid. It's really nice to see you experiment and being enthusiastic about it!
I was thinking chips around a Guacamole center but with the price of avocados right now I think you're right!
@@kypass what is the exchange rate of avocado to 2x4's?
@@ktulu193 One large avocado for an 8 footer... honestly both are are ^^^
That is a super clever way to pour epoxy...thanks for that idea!! I like the idea of making that a wall hanging shelf too. Great video as always sir!!
Very cool concept. Nicely done!
I am so excited about this concept! I can definitely see so many design opportunities using this idea! Always inspiring David!
shocking that this is the first i've seen this design on youtube with how well it came out and seemingly simple it was. love the concept, will be using it.
Absolutely stunning. 👊🏻
love the touch of film grain during the montage!
Great project David!
Awesome film. Great shots in the montage 1:53, the shop/studio looks so sharp and colorful. Very cool project, so creative. Mahalo for sharing! : )
Obviously another great idea and project, obviously!
That turned out great!
Loved this!
I have CNC envy. Cool project.
Really really love this project
Hollywood has nothing on your montages these days! Keep up the excellent work.
Man those montages... next level, David!
Also, definite New Order feel from the CNC montage music. Sweet.
I am always amazed with your eye for art. I love this channel just like john peters channel. Woodworking and art. perfect 😘
Really enjoyed the camera work and editing on this one, great stuff!
This turned out great. Really like how the lid looks.
That work table at the beginning...I need that in my life! Did I miss your how-to video on that?
That virtual drone shot at the 2min mark was fun! Good work, Dan 👏 Respect the walnut, Dave 😋
Love it. Epoxy top too if you resaw your sides. Missing CNC-Music Factory sticker.
This is a beautiful box. WOW!
This video is a master class on editing and color and music. Extra points awarded for Life Aquatic Bill Murray red toque.
Great idea and execution, David. Neat idea to use the push block as a spacer. Also, if I had a CNC I'd use it every chance I had.
Bill
Do you have a video on your workbench? With the walnut and colored inlays?
Yep, it's the previous video to this one.
@@MakeSomething damn it. Knew I missed something.
Looks awesome David, great job! 😃👍🏻👊🏻
Love this idea and it turned out fantastic!
DUDE! Awesome project! I love it!
This was such a great design and build!! It looks amazing! 🤩💜
Thank you!!
I love seeing what comes out of the Mind of Piccutto! Really cool project, David!
Oh, and your new CNC is badass!!
I like your leprechaun/seacaptain look
Very cool design, also I really appreciate you and Dan’s awesome camera skills, the way it’s all put together is always top notch.
So unique!
Very cool end result!
That's really neat, gives me some inspiration for the unused epoxy in my shop!
Love all the cool ideas you always come up with David. You are a true artist..
Great use of epoxy, Dave~! Something new...I love it~!
Filming /editing is AWESOME
"Sir... I can clearly see your bottom! ". Excellent! Thanks for sharing.
Man, this is so cool!!
Solid video! The editing and music was absolutely banging.
Great job Dave. A short blast from a heat gun usually unstickies cured hot glue ❤️❤️
That montage at the start was pretty damn cool
Another great project, David; Obviously! :)
That videography during your build montage was sick. Do they still give out Webbys?
I love these experiments. Beautiful.
I am not a math guy either. did you say the angle was 120 degrees? King of a fun idea. Thanks for sharing and I love all of your videos.
That turned out great! Can't we just have some fun here?
I have to get me one of those weights!
In a previous video some time ago you had a countersink bit set in a case.. I believe it had plug cutters too maybe but I cant remember. Can you provide a link or brand of that? I have been looking through videos and I cant find it. thank you!
Beautiful work, Dave! It really turned out better than I imagined! 😃
Stay safe there with your family! 🖖😊
i thought you were making a DND dice holder and rolling tray
These time lapses keep getting better.
Nice!
Woah woah woah... what's the end of that backdoor opening story? Break in? Accidental trigger?
This is going to be the new pocket hole!
man!, you keep coming up with these really creative projects. i especially love that lid. that is just awesome!
Thank you!
Very nice!
That’s the perfect chips and dip tray.

I just eyeballed it and centered it. 😊 thanks!!
I see another book in the future with all these cool things... maybe?
this would make for a beautiful jewellery organiser or catchall tray!
Think I'm going to build this as a shelf, very cool idea!
Very creative!!
Amazing.
That is one very cool project indeed! Great work, that really got my brain thinking about this technique. Love your work! :oD
Terrific idea & well executed David! I can see making something like that to be used as a serving tray for cheese & crackers during the holidays! 👍👍😉😉👏👏
This is a really sexy piece👍 I love the contrast in color and dimension. Using epoxy as joinery?! Yes! I love it!
All ways great ideals and work also fun to watch
Fantastic edit as always 👍
It reminds me of a chip and dip tray. But way cooler.
I love it, bit I can't see anything other than a chip tray. Slap a tub of dip in the middle and let's party!
Such a cool project!
Fast-forward to 10:55 secs. to see what the project looks like. Looks nice.
Ohhh you fancy!
Awesome

I love your vids, keep on keepin on!
How did you pour the epoxy without air bubbles? Did I miss something? I never saw a heat gun or torch.
Never used a heat gun. Epoxy was thin enough for air bubbles to surface.
I've missed the last few videos but I've always enjoyed your channel but I have to say your new background looks like a big purple dinosaur is about to pop out and give you a hand with your project. Very cool project.
Dope Homie!
Sharp!
Aw man a new video, just as I’m heading out to work. I’ll have to watch it later. 👌 -
call in sick
Use a food safe finish and use it for chips and dip.
