I used to check my chimney every year, after a couple years I stopped even looking. Just had another WETT inspection so looked at it after 6 years and the vertical section only had a light layer of white ash. Only had to clean the horizontal sections. Burn hot and dry!
@@GTDwithMatt Years ago while driving down the road I witnessed a chimney on fire, stopped and ran to the door, people inside had no idea, it had burnt out (couldn't see flames out the top) by the time we went back outside to look..Could have turned out different.

I agree, I burn hot and dry, but just for peace of mind I like to run the brush through the chimney Once a year just to be on the safe side👍

Yeah chimney fires can be scary! It was nice of you to stop and alert them, we need more good people like you in this world 👍.
