    0:53, he leaves a great big gap in the adhesive and could never be sure it got covered when the block was put on. It would have taken a couple of seconds to close that gap.

    I could see some advantages if you were to have blocks that were standing in a row on it's edge in the upright position and another mud box on it, that way you could spread the mud on both surfaces and have them all ready and prepared to lay

    Good use of the applicator but their are several things to note about this install. First, the installer should be wearing closed steel toe footwear not beach sandals. Yes, AAC blocks are lighter than cider but they still weigh between 35 lbs to 50lbs depending on size and density. Second as the installer lays each flight/course of AAC blocks he should be checking each with a level and using a rubber or silicon mallet to make sure each AAC block is level and firmly installed vertically and horizontally.

    What about filling the joints so the mud oozes out the way the inspectors like it too?

    • @tlangdon12
      @tlangdon12 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Inspectors need to learn what the manufacturer’s instructions say and check that the builder had followed them, not an old method appropriate to a different material!

    • @chagi4334
      @chagi4334 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Looks like porous concrete which is meant to only be applied with a thin layer of adhesive. Here in Germany the inspector and the construction manager won't like it if the adhesive starts oozing out of the gaps.
      Edit: Just found out that AAC is indeed what I thought it was I just used the literal translation from the German word Porenbeton = porous concrete

    Hmmmm I'm not a Mason, but I would definitely not use this. Instead I would scratch the mud on the blocks for proper adhesion.

    I had this idea for moving artwork on walls like high tech lights how shower walls
    But I just was watching this it's very relaxing and I wondered if someone could invent a small version like putting a thin film of something that's the size of a brick and then like a little children's cartoon or something that lights up or a simple pencil line moving artwork type art
    And then just one brick that lights up and then another over ther and another somewhere else
    Even if it was just a bright that lights up with colour and another and another as chikdren walk past tk go to school somewhere or past a building on tye way to school everyday
    Maybe someone can get their city council to donate some tech research and development for their artists to Ho high tech with their artwork
    But it was just a thought
    I'm sure they would need to optimise what sort of bricks or walls it might work best on
    I like thinking up creative little things like thst I figure if they can make billboard sized movie moving advertising then they can surely light up some bricks to make life interesting fir the walkers on footpaths you know just walking to school or the shops
    Maybe a small series if light up artwork bricks to make people go oh look and smile just for a minute as they go about their day
    Happy Bricklaying everyone needs builders that's for certain
