If all handheld wrestling games in the 90s would have just been modeled after the first WWF superstars for game boy, we would have had some awesome games..
I bought this on ebay and played it recently. I noticed Flair's theme music is the same from WCW. During his time in WWF and in the Royal Rumble video game his theme music is different so I wonder if this game's programmers made a mistake or if it was made before Flair's WWF theme music came out
Yo why my dude IRS looks bald on the top of his head? In any case developer Teeny Weeny Games (Predator 2, Wolverine Adamantium Rage) did an overall solid job porting this to the Game Gear. Worth nothing that the roster in the Game Gear version is a bit different compared to the NES version. Both versions have 10 characters each and share Hogan, Savage, DiBiase, IRS, Undertaker & Bret but the remaining 4 characters in the NES version are Mountie, Jake Roberts, Roddy Piper & Sid Justice while the Game Gear version had Papa Shango, Ric Flair, Tatanka & Shawn Michaels.
The Game Gear version came out a little later, by which time Jake, Sid, Piper and Mountie were all out of the picture. So they updated the roster by replacing them with the others.
