SAB Goblin 500 - First Hover

An introduction to my lastest adventure in the RC hobby.
I picked up a second hand SAB Gobblin 500 at a party. This model is no longer in production but there seems there are some spareparts still available.
Now the journey to learn how to handle this flying windmill will begin!

Yeah, for the first try very good handling. 👌 Helicopters are in general difficult to fly.

Hover isn't the part that scares me the most. That will come when I will try to actually fly the thing. :D

What FBL unit are you using in yours?

Hi Daniel, I would recommend you to buy the Spirit GT FBL system, it will help you learn to fly faster and will maintain your car! Try to rise to a height of at least 10-15m. Thank you for posting such a video!

I've been looking at the Spirit FBL's to replace the KBar gyro as I'm using Jeti system but I haven't found anyone else that use it and I need some experience of flying before I try do set one up myself.

I would say you can't go wrong with a Goblin. Even if an older model, you should still find available spare parts. The only downside is I see a few aftermarket parts that you may or may not be able to find. Hope you enjoy your heli for a long time!

It is a fantastic model to fly and I'm gathering whatever spare parts I can find.
My big problem has been the realy bad weather this summer. I hope I'm able to get out and fly something during the winter but we'll see .:)
