Helping The Homeless During The Coronavirus Pandemic (COVID-19) We wanted to make a feel-good video where we gave back to the community for the Coronavirus Pandemic (COVID-19). We also wanted to spread a good message of Islam (dawah) while doing it. We love doing random acts of kindness and this is one that we have been working on for months due to the pandemic. We used a quote from the Prophet Muhammad (Peace Be Upon Him) that says "The best aspect of Islam is feeding others and greeting those whom you know and whom you do not know." Islam teaches us about giving back to the community and helping as many people as you can and we wanted to do just that while also socially distancing and staying safe.
Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) is the prophet and founder of Islam. He was born in Mecca in 570 and at the age 40 he began to have revelations from Allah that became the basis for the Quran and the foundation of Islam. By 630 he had unified most of Arabia under a single religion. As of 2015, there are over 1.8 billion Muslims in the world who profess, “There is no God but Allah, and Muhammad is his prophet.” The importance of charity and paying it forward is very important in Islam and something that Muslims should be practicing regularly. We have done similar videos before where we paid for people's groceries and made strangers smile and we always try to give back and do random acts of kindness as often as we can. For this video we decided to Give Free Ice Cream to the Homeless off of an Ice Cream Truck. We know there are many videos about helping the homeless and giving back to the homeless, but we wanted to do something different. We incorporated Islam and Muslims into this because there is so much negativity and hate in the world right now and we want to promote the Islamic culture and eliminate any negative stereotypes about Muslims. The easiest thing you can do is to smile. Smiling at people is a form of charity. Also you can volunteer in the mosque. Little random acts of kindness can make someone’s day and will make you feel happy, satisfied and proud.
