This is a very intelligent and inspiring woman.
When I think about my childhood and youth as a gay man,
I can't help but love the fact that so many women in entertainement have inspired me and my idea of womanhood:
Madonna, Annie, Debbie, Grace, Diana, Tina etc.
All of them different but in their own way so smart, beautiful and strong.
This is the kind of person we need in British politics solid truthfulness
I have never been starstruck about celebrities, and I have never really considered any of them to be my idols (my father, my late mother and my late grandmother are my idols), but I grew up with The Eurythmics, and when Ms. Lennox went solo I continued to follow her music. I have been a fan of her music since I was 12 years old (so, 36 years). I consider her to be my musical idol. I absolutely LOVE her music, and this interview reveals that her mindset is actually a lot like mine.

Annie Lennox mesmerized me as a kid. "Here comes the rain again..." Men and women are rarely on the same page in relationships. Settling down and falling in love is rare sight these days. Everyone is comparing past negativity with future opportunity. Annie seems like she knows who she is.

What a beautiful voice
Fascinating person, very intelligent and unlike most, makes her point without droning on and on, making the same point over and over. Her album, by the way, is brilliant! I don't think there's anything she cannot sing and make it her own

waas there at the recording of her concert in Central Park. Was on of the photographers there. and I can see my flash going off, even though I know Very well No Flash At Live Performances but for some reason I had use it for certain moments. If you get to see the film, you'll see a tiny flash going on at the foot of the satge where the photo pit is. It was a magical night and I get to live it again through the monitor

Larry was right when at the end of the show, he says, "Annie, you're great!" Earlier in the show they takied about women sexuality in music. Every decade or two, sexy women performers irk parents. Miley Cyrus did the twerking relatively recently. But, all women groups like the Go Gos, The Runaways, Joan Jett and the Blackhawks, Hole, Missing Persons, and paving the way for Beyonce, Miley Cyrus and Katey Perry and Lady Gaga was the Spice Girls. Parents didn't seem to mind them so much. All my cousins' little kids knew all the Spice Girls songs and were dancing and shaking their stuff. Bottomline is that parents will always have something to worry about coming from the music scene.

It's part of the American fabric to sort of make something more gradiose than it is , which is fine for giving confidence but it "Hollywood-izes" things that can be a big shoe to fill.. well all the time. Takes work to be an Icon. Annie does do the work effortlessly tho

Larry King has always fumbled over his questions. That question is a gem.
Also really why its still such a problem is because they keep denying its an issue in many of the countries in South Africa (if not all of them must be incredibly frustrating).
How stupidly naive: Larry doesn't understand violence and war. What a sheltered life he must have had!
Larry should learn History and Anthropology. Study and experience make one wiser, not the passage of years - if that was the case giant turtles would be the wisest of animals.

Re: Annie Lennox's causes, she was hysterically anti Israel re: their war with Gaza. She appears to cherry pick the causes she will get "excited" about. She won't get excited about the considerable pollution and environmental degradation in 3rd world countries caused by British Petroleum or Rio Tinto (partially British). She knows who butters her bread.
We ALL cherry pick the issues that we are passionate about. Some issues we are moved by, others less so. So what? Who the hell are you to sit in judgement? I'm sure if we all knew YOU better there'd be issues that you could be criticized for. So what if BP and Rio Tinto are British. Does that make Annie Lennox personally responsible for the policies of those companies? What country are YOU from? I'm guessing Germany from your site, but I could be wrong. I'm sure companies from your country are not necessarily snow white as regards their policies on environmental issues. Are you to be held responsible? Should the rest of us demand that you apologise for the policies of those companies? Get off your high horse, hypocrite...
What Israel has done has been untenable at times. Regarding cherry picking, everyone has to, theres not enough time in the day to support every cause.
