Today on the show, we host Vikram Sampath. He is an Indian popular historian, noted for authoring biographies of Gauhar Jaan and V. D. Savarkar. He is one of the most knowledgeable guests on the show - truly inspiring.
Bangalore-based historian Dr. Vikram Sampath is the author of 8 acclaimed books of history including biographies of Gauhar Jaan & Veer Savarkar & Bravehearts of Bharat on unsung heroes of India.
This video is a breakdown of the Indian Freedom Struggle. The Indian independence movement was a series of historic events with the ultimate aim of ending British rule in India. It lasted from 1857 to 1947. Few leaders followed a more violent approach, than the others. This became especially popular after the Rowlatt Act, which permitted indefinite detention. The Act sparked protests across India, especially in the Punjab province, where they were violently suppressed in the Jallianwala Bagh massacre. The Indian independence movement was in constant ideological evolution.

Most of the people chastising a great leader for "apologising" to the British don't have an iota of idea of what Savarkar had planned. They speak against him without knowing the true intentions of a great freedom fighter just to look cool.

One thing people often confuse and here ranveer did too is the meaning of modern day hindutva. Hindutva is the resistance which kept the sanatan alived. Sure it wasn't called that in the past but in peace, you won't see people fighting or against other religion. Hell we produced different religions, but when our own existence is at risk, hindutva rises to save it. Modern times requires it and it will rise. What we have right now is just beginning, a mess before it organises itself. It has to, else we will be sitting here in skullcaps and cut dikks.
This is how LEFT is trying to portray Hindutva and they are very much successful. We shall fight back against this narrative.

Our constitution is supreme of all and you better understand that. It's not about weighing who contributed more than others etc. It's about respecting our entire freedom struggle as a whole, it's about understanding the reasons behind which he held or any freedom fighter held their beliefs rather than endorsing it. Literally hated the moment when RANVEER interrupted Dr. Vikram at 6:28. He was just about to go in the ins and outs of KALAPANI where only the revolutionaries were imprisoned and not a single congressman and boom comes ranveer, bringing out the big guns of HINDUTVA[obviously in the weirdly condescending tone] just to get his ''content'' for shorts. Ranveer please take an interview of Mr.Ramasimhan(Mr.Ali Akbar), who has taken a Malayalam movie based on Real Mopla Massacre history. He had to face a lot of hardships from communists, Muslim extremists and sensor board to complete and release the film. Ali Akbar is a well-known film director from Kerala, whose ancestors were the victims of this massacre and we're forcibly converted into Islam.

For kind attention of Vikram Sampath: There is a book in Marathi on one Waman Narayan Joshi, who was involved in assassination of Jackson, the then collector of Nashik. He was sent to Andaman for Kala Pani punishment, when Savarkar was also there. The book written by the niece of Joshi states that because of petitions written by Savarkar many prisoners were released from Kala Pani and sent to mainland jails.Joshi himself was sent to a jail in Mumbai province after 9 years due to petition written by Savarkar.

Veer Savakar was part of a Indian INA military strategy. Operation : SavaKar. He was working for my Grand Father Bhagwan Mepa CHITRODA. The book you mentioned here which is written by savarkar. He clearly stated in it that muslims of india cannot be trusted even 1%. And his statement was not false, you can see that in todays condition. Just today when i am writing this comment its india vs pakistan match and majority of muslims are supporting pakistan. And please anyone don't give me shit about its just a game, everyone has rights to choose their favourite team. I am mentioning this here so that their is no misunderstanding like sarkar was a secular guy. He was a pro and unapologetic hindu and that's a FACT
