    My fiancé has no interest in stereo equipment or reviews but after seeing Kristi enthusiasm and her interest in this hobby she now watches the videos with me. She enjoys watching you two together. And I have to say me too! We are really enjoying all you two do with such professionalism. BTW I had a friend who’s mom was dating a guy that had the La Scalas in 1979 and wow I will never forget it. Have a great weekend guys ! Thanks. Scott

    Love the reviews & commentary! Question: I've yet to see any reviews on Sim Audio Moon...any reason for this?

    As a TH-cam Premium member, my favourite part of these livestreams is the awkward 30 seconds of silence and/or banter at the beginning of a stream. I’m so used to not seeing ads it always catches me off guard that everyone else has ads 🤢

    Hi guys. Just finished watching the stream from a few days ago. I laughed when you said 90 minutes already, Kristi said 30 more minutes, and the bottom timer showed almost an hour left. I love you guys. I am looking for input. I just got my dream speakers- JBL L100's. I am ready to get the right power source and was set on the Technics SU- G700M mk2 based on your review, though i was a bit concerned about the 4 ohm capability of that class D amp. But no one has it in silver. I planned on pairing it with the Bluesound Node. My back up was the Yamaha As-1200 but now i see your R-N2000A review. So, do I wait on the Technics and get the Node, or do i spend $400 more and get the Yamaha receiver? Which one will push my JBL's best. Help! and thanks for being you.

    Hey A+K - Following on from my $5K pre amp question during the feed, I've just come across this intregrated from Technics that has just been released (June 23). The Technics SU-GX70. Looks like everything I need combining tech from the SU-G700M2 and SL-G700 SACD Streamer. The DAC looks good (inc HDMI) has Phono and pre outs so I can connect my Bryston 4B³ power amp. Comes in at around £1700 here in the UK.
    Perhaps something fun that is worth you guys checking out?
    p.s. Did I mention that this is the best AV / Audio channel bar none? 😁 See you on the next vid 👍

    Thanks! Been watching for years and the tag line always resonates for me. I used to spend time at Listen Up in Denver back in the 90s so your channel keeps me sane.
    I have a rather lively room and looking for powered to move the speakers around. I’m trying Sonos Fives but am curious about Bluesound powernode or KEFs. I like your reviews but am in over analyzing mode haha.
    Also is it true that Airplay streaming only plays back in AAC? Cheers

    Hey Andrew/Kristi. Missed the stream but I've been doing some research & I just rewatched your video "The Hidden Costs of CHEAP AMPS!". Great video! There's a pair of headphones currently in development I'm very interested in called the "Tungsten" from Modhouse Audio, they're supposed to be insanely hard to drive but more affordable & an absolute giant slayer (talking Susvara territory for about a 3rd the price) if you find an amp that can. Another channel got Ryan, the owner of Modhouse around to their house with the Tungsten to test amps and they found one of the most affordable that could drive them well enough was a cheap new Fosi Audio speaker amp called the V3. Claiming 300WPC into 4Ω for a little over $100USD with an included 48V/5A power supply. Going by what you've said in the other video I just saw, obviously you're not going to get that properly with the included cheap power supply and they may even damage gear if paired wrong, but what if I WAS willing to be "that guy" that upgrades to a quality aftermarket power supply that costs more than the amp...?? Would something like the Fosi V3 safely & effectively drive a headphone like the Tungsten or Susvara in this case? Really, the only dedicated headphone amps I've seen drive the older, even harder to drive iteration/concept of these headphones at audio shows in other TH-cam videos are the likes of DCS Lina and Holo Bliss. Those are over $10K here. Any chance you could reach out to Ryan @ Modhouse Audio to review the finished production version Tungsten and help me find the most affordable, yet best quality amp to drive them?

    For me, "holographic" is primarily related to imagery and tangibility -- when every instrument or voice is precisely located widthwise and depthwise, carving out its own space. That's where the tangibility comes in. You feel you can reach out and touch anything that's playing or singing. It's far from a diffuse array of sound.
    Something I've personally found enhances tangibility in the soundstage is a pair of Taket Batpure supertweeters, costing a mere €63 (£54) delivered to the door from the European distributor, Ceres electronique in France. They take ages to come from Japan and shipping may add more to the cost. They're unbelievably tiny (about the size of the last joint on your little finger) and it's hard to believe they can do what they do for many speakers, mine included. At that price, IMHO there's little to lose by giving them a try.

    Hi. Your favorite amp (SQ speaking) up to 2.500 euros ? Only analog inputs needed...To pair with bookselfspeakers (87db and 6ohm nominal, dropping up to 4.4...) Thanks

      @AndrewRobinson--- I have bought a pair of Revival Audio Atalante 3 bookself speakers. At 2.300 euros. Their characteristics are as described above. I am looking for an intergrated amp (up to 2.500 euros, maybe a little more). I want it to have a good bass control, to be clean and detailed, not especialy warmth.... Do you have something in mind that may help me ?

  • @corycablecali
    @corycablecali ปีที่แล้ว +1

    Sorry Andrew if my SuperChat question was not clear. Hard to provide detailed questions with TH-cam character limits. As many of us own very high-end gear, there is never a product without a limitation. I own the Marantz AV10. It’s great, for me! But doesn’t support Tidal MQA and HEOS doesn’t support QoBuz. And will not stream video with my local library and online services. Apple TV doesn’t support HiRes audio (24bit/48k hard limit). NVidia supports everything, but its interface is clunky, jumpy and the hardware is bottom shelf cheap quality.
    I am looking for the perfect Audio/Video streamer which supports 4K, HDR, 24-bit / 192K audio HiRes, HDMI bitstream, with QoBuz, Tidal MQA or Amazon HD, etc. I want stability, sleek user interface, quality remote, etc. Something that looks like it belongs with a $40K HT with Audiophile speakers. Does such a product exist? It’s annoying to switch between multiple input devices, and annoying to have hard limits on a system that can handle anything.

    • @corycablecali
      @corycablecali ปีที่แล้ว

      @AndrewRobinson---
      Andrew, I would love talk more about this. I have spent months, years, and money, on this journey. Still, I am amazed someone hasn’t attempted to create the “ultimate” streaming product. I have considered, and attempted, using a laptop or mini PC of some type. Still, Windows wasn’t made for a home theater. There was a time Microsoft and Apple made Home Theatre software with beautiful interfaces made for TV, and had remotes, and could support anything, but they dropped those features years ago (probably too early). And I find it displeasing to have a keyboard and mouse, vs simple remote control. My use case is; Plex, Infuse, Tidal, Qobuz, Amazon Music HD, along with video streaming services. I have “argued” with Apple fanboys (which I have significant investment with Apple) the Apple TV is very locked down, max audio rate is 24bit/48k which make all HiRes audio services useless. AppleTV does not support bitstream (removed 4-5 years ago), Apple claims their on-device Dolby to PCM Multichannel Decoding is acceptable, but my ears can hear a major difference when I play bitstream content via NVidia Sheild directly to my AV10. For me, Apple TV is not my go-to HT device when I want to stretch the legs of my amazing HT setup. NVIDIA has historically been the Swiss Army knife which supports almost everything, but I find the software, interface, responsiveness, remote and overall quality to be extremely poor. Let’s put some crap tires on your Mercedes…😭
      This is my dream. One solid quality streaming device. Which supports most popular hi-def audio and video services.
      There seems to be plenty of audio streamers, but none offer video streaming support.
      It’s 2023…really? Nothing? 😂
      Help!!!
      Thank you.
