Tree Service dropped some hickory! We Cut & Split it Small!

We moved all the tree service wood we got this past week and separated the Hickory. I cut and split the Hickory small for Pizza Ovens, BBQ's and Smokers.

Hey the bark will peel off pretty easy especially as it seasons. So we will see when I bundle it. Still not sure if I will make it we are redoing bedroom for baby coming moving my office plus still so busy with work.

I'm with Al on the bark question.
Only thing i do different is i separate bark pieces from the skinless ones, bark makes bitter smoke, while the heartwood stays nice, clean and sweet. Just eliminates a step later when its seasoned.

Good evening my Friend, that is some nice Hickory Wood for Smoking. I do not sell any as of yet but thinking of maybe Bundle Wood or Campfire Wood. There is a Camp ground not far from where I live. I get Log Length Firewood which is Locust, and Oak. A little Maple and Cherry Wood also. I have it delivered from a Local Tree Service. Use it in my Woodstove IN the Basement for the Fall, Winter, and Spring Burning. I may Start getting some Pine and Poplar Logs to meet these Campers for there Campfires. Looking into maybe getting a New Electric Wolfridge Splitter. Will let you Know. Getting out of the Hospital Tomorrow as I was treated for a Pulmonary Embolism last Week. Stay, Safe my Friend.
