What u got is not the max value of stress bcz if u draw the sfd there is some sf at required section ...and for stress to be max moment has be Max and sf to be zero..

Sir in a cantilever beam max bm occurs at fixed end for udl but at that end shear force is not zero but for pure bending shear for has to be zero so will flexure formula still be applicable even when sf is not zero

Hi pranjal.
The flexure formula is meant for the normal bending stress across the cross section due to bending moment. It has got nothing to do with shear force.
But you can certainly calculate the shear stress. And that we will be discussed in the upcoming sessions.
And even the resultant stress can be calculated using principle of superposition.
Even lectures on the combined effect of bending and torsion has to be discussed.
