I'm glad you showed the fact that 3 AK mags can fit in (each cell of) the Arktis rig! I need to update my review, I can't believe I didn't think to orient them like that.
Can't go wrong with Arktis gear lasts for years upon years , I could never take to wearing chest rigs I was a webbing / belt kit L.B.E kind of guy it just worked better for me and hated all the weight around my chest ,
I do hear that :) I grew up with ALICE gear but when I joined we had MOLLE but I liked the weight being held by my hips more than my shoulders like the plate carriers end up doing.

To alleviate the .308 mag height issue you could take a bite from macvsog and roll up socks or a cravat to keep them at a preferred height

I would use more the one you painted but if I was carrying an ak well the British one
I do like the CR7 and it is the best bang for the buck, in my opinion :)
550 loops would help with the 7.62 mags
