I live in Manhattan and I recommend that you take a bag that closes securely. Preferably a bag with a full zipper closure, and also can be worn crossbody so your hands can be free. A backpack can be unsecured if the pockets face outward and you’re wearing on your back. My concern is safety from unwanted intrusion into your bag. Remain alert and you’ll have FUN!
I would do the All In and the Pochette Metis, and then your pink bum bag as a 3rd option. I just love the Pochette Metis for travel because it fits so much but isn’t too big for shopping/walking around, etc.

Think of the complements! Or just for your own joy. I can’t tell you how cute it made me feel to take my Chanel mini on a work trip this year, when I have not been feeling cute or good about myself at all recently. It really gave me a confidence boost.

Have you tried a good vinyl cleaner on the outside? Another idea…rub the vinyl with an essential oil or a scent that you love. As a last resort, try rubbing it with fresh herbs….rosemary, basil, lemon thyme?

Remember the luggage restrictions on planes. You’re allowed to take one carryon and one “personal item” bag. The airline Website will specify the dimensions for each. I’ve been having to do this research recently, so it’s very much on my mind.

I would go with the All In on the plane. You haven't used her yet, so take her out. For an every day bag, I would go with the pink Meredith bag or a Speedy 25 or Pochette Metis. You may want a little more room when you're going out in NYC for the day. I was SO glad I had my Speedy because I could put a bottle of water in it. I think you could also consider the Georges or the Soft Cargo Tabby. I know you are selling the Georges but that could be a great bag for this purpose.

Can you get unscented febreeze and apply it to the outside with a cloth? Maybe a couple little sprays of febreeze inside. Is there something you can get from the auto zone for bad smell. Don’t carry the stinky bag, you will be self conscience and you don’t need that in your life when you just want to have fun. Take the LV luggage and an extra bag “in case you buy something, anda cross body that zips and you can’t get robbed. The coach won’t scream luxury so maybe you won’t get mugged. I am sure you won’t”. Lol. Why don’t you have any small wallets for sale.
