It wasn't a"space walk" at all. They poked their heads out of the capsule for a few minutes and went back in. You can hardly call that a space walk. SpaceX, let NASA handle them from now on because that was an embarrassment.
Nasa has a specific category call "SEVA" (standing extra-vehicular activity) for this type of spacewalk. They're following their footsteps. These were the same type of tests that the Gemini flights did in the 60s. What's important is that SpaceX is independently developing their own capabilities. The training, suits, processes, and other things to do this. The short spacewalk is only the expression of all the work they've done over the last few years. Now they will continue to build upon this.
The billionaires if proud of our planet should take the same amount of money that they spent to look at earth from 170km and spend it on repairs to our planet and helping out the other 98 percent of people ,sadly they won't they will sit back with their egos and say " what a fine life I have" while people are starving, 😢
This was a mission for SpaceX to test their new space suits. He and the team trained for two and a half years. How much money he has shouldn't take away from the importance of this mission. Also, he helped raise more then 250 Million for St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
When your private 'spacewalk' is the equivalent of poking your head out the window for a second...
LMFAO 😂
Looks so real lol 😂
His voice sounded somewhat nervous 😄
Since Nasas ‘fake walk’ 🎉😅😊
Looks so real lol😂
So much negativity in the comments
Roflmfao, he never left the craft or even the doorway, how is just peeking out the door a spacewalk? 😂😂😂😂
Yes that’s pretty scary actually one false move and he’s gone forever ♾️…
SpaceX is the only single private company to do so...and their rivals Boeing and Blue Origin are far far behind them....that's why it's a big thing.

The scope of this spacewalk was to test the SpaceX EVA suit. It wasn't to walk about for fun.
