i believe having too much is a very risky approach it’s always better having less than over needed, if you hold some spares i’d advise multiplying layers in very specific problematic spots rather than saying i got alot lets spray the room all over - i’ve seen and heard such of dumb comments from “professionals” due to over usage of baffles complaining at their gear w*f grow some brain damit.

Those explanations about the post workflow are awesome. I wonder if you could make a video about some basic stuff: frequencies that you should cut, a little bit about what tools to use, and how to use, that can improve your audio (compressors, equalizers), etc. And if I'm note extending myself, haha, that tip about pointing the mic towards the chest would work with a shotgun mic as well?

Hi Alex ! Thanks for the video :)
You talked about a lot of very technical stuff during the video, but without actually explaining them. Would you consider make a step by step, in depth guide on all of those things we can do to record and then post process good quality audio ? It would be life saver for people like me that are very new to all this, and would like to learn how to step up their production.
    Thanks again for your work,
    Take care,
    Alex

Hey Alex! It's nice to see here that a true professional who knows his tools and doesn't talk bullshit takes the time to make these videos. Its a relief seeing somebody talk about noise reduction who uses Izotope RX not like audacity or whatever (just an example). Keep up the good work, it is even enjoyable for someone who is in the pro audio field too.

Can you make a video where you go into depth on techniques for recording dialogue outdoors in noisy situations? For example, say the only location that works for visuals of a scene is in the city or next to busy roads? How do big budget films approach this, is there a way I can achieve similar results?

Thanks for this video, very explanatory! I've got two problems that I run into with my recordings, and I've been searching the internet but to no success. The first one is, removing reverb sound from audio using audacity. The second one, is a much bigger issue that I encounter. I'm using Audacity to record and to edit my audio. For recording I use a Tonor BM microphone. The problem with the audio is that if I import it to premiere, and synchronize both clips (camera and microphone recording), it starts to unsync itself after a few cuts. I will have to manually adjust and then after time it will just unsync again (even with no cuts in between). It's driving me nuts. I hope you've got an answer!

This video is great. I've been very curious to learn more about sound and this video is a really great start. I think one of the problems for me with sound is not knowing which programs to use, which ones people recommend, and how to utilize the tools you laid out in the video.
