Two-Hearted was my pinball beer in Bloomington, IN 2015-2020. People treated it like a session ale there; available in pitchers from many restaurants. It’s also just a absurdly good Great Lakes IPA in general.

Two Hearted and Founders Centennial IPA are the two beers that were my gateways to IPA's back in 2012ish. And beer reviews on youtube for that matter. Still revisit from time to time.
We never used to get Founders out here so I don’t think I’ve ever had Centennial. I remember having their black IPA (Dark Penance maybe?) and loving it!
Bell's Two Hearted Ale has been around since 1997, so as long as Stone IPA. There is a Smith's grocery store near me in Albuquerque, NM that always has 6 packs of this beer that are very fresh. I bought one today that has a BBD of January 5, 2025. Cheers!
I drink this every single week. There is never a day that I don't have a few of these in my fridge. I'm only 30 minutes from Bell's though so getting it fresh-fresh is easy.
100% Centennial hopped. And I feel you, man. I'm 41 and have been drinking craft for 20 years. I've been through the hype beer. Now, I want fucking lager and bitter, hoppy IPA. Completely content with various Pils, Two Hearted and Torpedo in the fridge.
Dead right Joe - it’s a Midwest classic ! If your unsure of a beer in the Midwest and this is on the menu you order it . People do buy this in 12 - packs here but it’s mostly the older crowd - kids still want the Hazy’s.
As a Michigander this was one of the obvious brews that initially got me into craft beers and I still drink it regularly. Never disappoints🍻Cheers mate!

I love when breweries do that! I once bought an infected bottle of Uncle Jacob’s and reached out to Avery just to let them know about the batch and they sent me a super rad box of stuff! 🍻

I found it at 2 stores in my small town of 3,500... unfortunately one was almost a year old but the gas station had some that were only 4 months old... pretty damn good stuff! I agree with your review on how simple it is but that's what makes it great! 8.5/10 in my book!
An OG favorite! When I need a break from big Tree House IPAs. Voted best beer in USA for a number of years by (help me out here) American Homebrewers Association....or something like that. That says a lot.

Man, I haven't seen Mirror Pond in forever! I was up in Portland in 2017 and spent time at Deschutes and drank a ton of Fresh Squeezed and Mirror Pond. I need to see if its still around here!

I still will get my self some delicious Focal Banger and Heady Topper, but my go-to beer are Czech pilsners because they're drinkable and I'm not as big on beer as I used to be.IPAs are good but if I'm watching some sort of game on TV, 4 Pilsner Urquell go down a lot easier than 4 IPAs. Btw I am drinking this beer as fresh as I can get it here in Arizona and it is efhin fantastic.
Balance. Malt and hop. Grapefruit and flowers painted over a perfect malt canvas. This beer, Sierra Nevada Pale Ale & Celebration are perfect beers because of their balance. Balance isn’t sexy, but it sure does work. BTW, this is all centennial hops, I think Celebration has a lot of centennial as well. Been watching since your first Born Yesterday review. So I’m not OG, but damn close 😂 Cheers brotha
Being in Detroit, Two Hearted was one of my first loves and still is one of my staples. You said it right, super refreshing and well balanced. Just hoping with the sale of Bells they keep the consistency of deliciousness with it. Awesome review!

Lived in Connecticut the last 5 years and sent some Fuzzy Baby Ducks and Fox Farm your way. I just moved back home to Los Angeles after a decade-plus away, and am so stoked for fresh west coast beer. Like you struggle with two hearted, we struggled mighty with SN Pale Ale in CT. What relatively local, independent clear beers are you gravitating to? I’m a bit bummed that Stone sold, as that was my go to, and am thinking Societe Pupil or good ole Swami may take that spot. Anyways, keep pumping out the clear beer reviews. Love to see em.

It taste like a fresh Grapefruit the bitter is very identical to grapefruit. It does have a boozy after taste & tends to be strong for being 7% it can creep up on you

The standards, Lagunitas, Firestone, Sam Adams beers would be cool to see, haven’t had one of those in forever, I guess Stone but I don’t like their beers much. That type of shit. Maybe Modern Times? Some smaller but easily accessible beers. Allagash is solid. I’m telling you to try Brouwerij West, best brewery in LA 🍺🤙🏼

Just had this beer on tap when I was northern Michigan. I definitely got some caramel notes from it and lemon. Super refreshing brew.

I live in Upper Michigan. We have it on Tap at almost all of our bars. It tastes better on tap and then the can. The bottles taste meh
