As far as I understand it, handles with uneven lengths achieve curves that handles with equal lengths can't, right? In short - don't equal length handles on nodes put a limitation on the sort of curves you can draw?
Dave Lawrence has shot raw video and delivered it to us (FontLab), and we edited it together. So it’s our fault, definitely not his. As for whether it makes sense to focus on the face or not - I think that depends on the audience member. Some people find it easier to follow a speaker when they can look at their mouth and gestures, especially if they’re not a native English speaker.

I don't understand why it's neccessary for the instructor to devote so much footage to his face. It's egoistic. It's a detriment to the content.
