    I’ve been torn between Strummed 2 and Picked throughout the NI sale; this review was both infinitely more helpful and easier to watch/listen to than the other walkthroughs/demos I’ve seen. Really appreciate it, my mind’s made up!

    Thanks for this video. I just got Picked Acoustic yesterday and have already been enjoying the ease of use. Your explanation at the end of emulating playing the guitar was very helpful for this non-keyboard player.

    Very good review. Glad you mentioned the important aspect of playing it like a guitar and not a keyboard because that makes a huge difference to how realistic it sounds. I'll definitely be buying this vst :)

    A perfect review and tutorial. I have to say that your playing technique is so smooth, and I believe it adds greatly to the realism of the performance. In my non-keyboard player hands, I think results may not be so satisfying. That said, this plugin is now on my wish list.

    Came back for a second look. It`s a good tutorial, but..... You are a very accomplished player. I would suggest that the majority of people who will buy this are like me, unable to play the guitar. And, like me, not good musicians. Period. But we are songwriters and with the help of modern music tech can record their work to a fairly high standard. I need a guitar player for almost all of my compositions. Programs like this will be a great help. I`d like to see you make another video of this programme concentrating on the patterns. Your melody playing was beautiful but far beyond many of us. And I suspect you are also an accomplished guitarist. This program is not made for guitarists particularly. I need this program, but I first need to get a good overview of the patterns available....hoping they are not too limited with too many Latin or Bosa Nova etc....!! Many thanks for your otherwise very clear and concise tutorials.

    Does the melody mode work like other VST guitars such as, for instance, Ilya Efimov, whereby you cannot play two notes at the same time unless it would be physically possible on a guitar, or does it just play like a keyboard in that you can play 6 or more notes all at the same time?

    • @hifimidi

    So, it looks like there are around 34 songs and maybe around 170 patterns? But that includes strums? It also looks like you have to hold a chord down to play a pattern through? I'm asking because I've seen others where you can assign chords and chord types to keys and just hold down a C note for example and it can play a C chord or C7, etc. Makes it much easier for people not good on the keyboard to use. My main reason for getting something like this is so I could easily push a key and have it play fingerpicking patterns that I can that put in my DAW and use in songs.

  • @abolit

    the VST sounds good but the pattern library is extremely limited and you can't create a custom pattern either. IMHO that info should have been mentioned in the review

    • @hifimidi
      @hifimidi  4 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      I made four takes and forgot to include that! You can shift around the starting point of a pattern to create variation. You can even splice together patterns after you’ve bounced the track. It’s not a feature, but a tip.

    • @truthmanifestingtruth
      @truthmanifestingtruth 4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      The total active keys are a little over 50. So your going to lose a couple of active midi notes either way you octave shift. It’s best to have all the keys from the bottom up and miss the few at the top and just draw them in your daw when needed. Otherwise, add a cheap 25 midi board to cover those keys. Pawn shops or amazon should be able to help you there. Don’t worry though. If you own an iPad, they can be connected as an additional midi controller.
