    I get a p0741 and p1744 on a 2016 f150 3.5 eb. Service wrench comes up whenever going uphill around 40-50 mph. Is this usually a torque converter issue, or just a solenoid? No symptoms otherwise.

    I changed the tcc lock up solenoid, the tcc pwm, the 3-2, and the torque converter as well and I still get the P0740 code, all gears go in but when I get up to 40 sometimes it shudders when it goes into 4th/OD, before when I would cruise at 40 and would come to a stop it would get stuck on so I would have to release the break pedal twice so it could let off the 2 gears, so now I am thinking its this valve although most claim its for the p1870 code

      did you fix it?

    • @Magnificent01
      @Magnificent01 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@thisisyourtransmission I tried, I pulled the valve body down and checked all the valves and they were good, the only problem was a check ball was stuck on the plate so I fixed that put everything back together and my freaking service engine light came on again, I suppose its my 4th/OD clutches because at 40 when it goes into 4th it boggles down but still cruises but if I step on it, it won’t pick up right away until like 3 seconds it shifts down to go faster but then shifts to 4th real quick again and boggles down again and that when the light comes on, its just weird it’s driving me nuts lol

      @@jojo-vc6qe I tried, I changed the converter, 3 solenoids, one little ball that tends to get stuck on the plate of the valve body, my valve body is good, the 3/4 OD clutches is what I need to change

    I have this problem with a GM 6T45. When in 6th gear and open the throttle, the error comes right away and 6th gear is shut off by the ECU. So only 5 gears work when the error pops up until you restart the car next day. Could it also be a problem like this or maybe just change oil or the TCC solenoid itself?

    • @thisisyourtransmission
      @thisisyourtransmission  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      You cannot change the solenoid is a 6t45 transmission. You have to change the whole TCM if it is the problem.

    Will that code p0741 shut off the engine when putting into gear?

    Can driving with TCC stuck actually mess up the torque converter?

      Same problem here '06 Corolla 200k miles on it. Car doesn't have any problems, transmission doesn't do anything, shifting normal and Everything. Code comes on for a day or 2, then it goes away on itself. Been doing some research online and it seems like some people just lived with it and no problem.

    I got this code p0741 after changing the solenoids and oil pan and sleeves after car was stuck in limp mode and shifts didn’t work. Everything was fine until a day later this code popped up. I didn’t want to fix the first time because I knew if I did I was going to get another bs problem. Idk what to do I have a 6hp21x BMW X5 3.0 2007. I’m trying to save money man:(
