    DYLAN SIR.
I'm leaving this comment in hopes that you may see it.
Probably around a year ago I seen a couple short videos that you had put up that i received as purely sales oriented and I left a comment that was not so complimentary. Not mean, just doubting your knowledge.
I truly apologize and have since then realized that you have much much knowledge to share and have used some to benefit.
Thanks for all that do and share.
    A fan for life now

My man, what’s up Dylan? I swear it, every time, I need some kind of wiring for a Strat or Tele. One of your tutorials pop up. to the point that I know you’re gonna be giving me the instruction lol. Definitely the approach. Everybody Hass to be a little pretentious. You’re putting on a show of sorts. Very informational show. Ha. If you quit TH-cam. Where am I to go:) already too long, thanks for everything. I’ll keep supporting.✌🏼 Take care, Steve.

I’ve watched hours of guitar tip videos and this one has been the best by far. No gimmicky presentation, straight the point how it should be. I’d just a true perfectionist like yourself to work on any guitar of mine, that’s what’s necessary for quality. Thanks

Hey Dylan, great video. Nice point on those split shaft pots. I try to use solid shaft pots, but sometimes need to use split shafts ones. Since I always have maple veneer handy (I use for lines on fretless builds), I always trim a small piece of veneer and fill the gap on the split shafts. That literally makes the split shaft into a solid shaft and helps prevent damage. I still line up the set screw like you mention. And those copper/brass sleeves you use to fit 1/4" knobs onto 6mm shafts are life savers. Cheers.

I don't know who needs to hear it but, always keep your soldering tip clean. I went through about five tips before I realized I wasn't scraping the tips off well enough. Oxidation built up and wouldn't let the heat transfer into the solder. Once I got a nice clean tip, it only took two or three seconds to melt the solder. And if you're working on one of those Fender super switches, pre tin your wires so you don't overheat your switch component. Thanks for the video Dylan.

Tip on imports make sure the plate that you get is the right size fender is just a tad longer and mounting holes will be off, It's a lesson I just learned , and if your buying emerson prebuilt harness they have a solid ground wire across the pots that does not bend to fit the import plate . fit fender genuine part exactly just FYI

Appreciate you doing this but having purchased one of your pre-made Tele control plates with selector switch and 500K pots as well as .33 cap, I'd much rather buy it from you knowing how good the quality of your soldering is AND the parts are! Top notch in every aspect!!! I like your comment of you can always turn it down, but if it's not there you can't go any higher ;) !
Can you do a Part II showing you connecting pickups to your custom built control plate also?

Hey Dylan. Just gotta say the Tele pickups and controls for my thinline Squier tele are awesome. I had to cut and resolder the hard wire between the volume and tone pot because they're closer together than on a standard tele plate. It would've worked but I didn't like the bend in the hard wire. I just bought a classic series 70s strat for a deal and I'll be soon ordering a loaded pickguard from you. Much love to you and Leslie from Colorado.

"Output" jack - yes ! Oh, do you try to strip back the braided wire sleeve on the 1 wire pickups? I have to get to the forward position on the blade switch with hot wire but the grnd is at the pot far enough away that it seems like the braided grnd could touch something it shouldn't.

Great video if I can ask you a question on a 1983 telecaster there's a black ground wire screwed into wood coming from the neck pickup cavity into the control cavity where it looks like it broke loose from a solder joint should it be resolder to the vol pot?

    D. Dylan, I like my 4 way tele switch with a bridge mini toggle kill sw., but I want to remove the stock tone from the neck, aka the ASK ZAK *no-tone-on-neck-telecaster-wiring* . My pickups are 'stock '51 Bootstrap pickups. They were on the guitar as were the 4-way blade sw. and toggle when I bought the guitar. A '16 G&L ASAT Classic Tribute Series. Sweet guitar really. I just like the idea of no tone on the neck. Thanks dude!

Good day. I am wondering if if you can do one with the switch in same location. But swap the tone and volume knob location. I would like to have tone connected to bridge pickup only and tone know where the volume knob is now.

I’m building a T-style guitar - my first attempted build. I have zero experience soldering, and this is my biggest worry. I’d buy a pre-wired kit, but I ordered a custom control plate that moves the Volume knob 3/8” further away from the switch. Do you think your kit would fit those specs? If not, would you consider doing a custom order?

This is huge for me as a 'Tele guy' I really go for 3 pickup Teles and I always like a reverse control plate. It seems that the Fender S1 switch is deprecated by many guitar techs What's your take on that?

    Hey Dylan
I recently installed a wide range humbucker in the neck position and removed the existing single coil on my Telecaster, the problem is the existing volume pod is 250k and from my research most think 500k for the HB I also love the tone of my single coil in the bridge so I don't want to go up to 500k for the bridge I purchase a fender split 250/500k volume pod but cannot find a simple wiring diagram any help would be appreciated
