I loved listening to this. My grandfather on my dad’s side was from Coleraine. Unfortunately he died when I was only a year old. I’m named after his mother who died in Ireland. My grandfather left Ireland and immigrated to Canada. My older sisters and brother said he had a really thick accent. I so wish I would have met him. Anyway I greatly appreciate hearing your accent. It gives me a taste of what his might’ve been like 😃.

This is only a few degrees off of "Upper South" or "Appalachian" accent, originating from Ulster Scots in Northern Ireland. The missing component is some combination of African American, Native American, or Elizabethan English spoken in the tobacco and cotton states.

Oh my Gawd I love you!!! I will share this with my wife, in accent (she's from Wexford!!) and you will make our day. We live in New Zealand and this will also give us a lot to laugh at/they will laugh at me/with me. You are a champion of our wee accent. Love it all :-) And can you say "how now brown cow" or "I'll have a towel for the power shower"? They always make me say that in NZ, but I should maybe get them to film the same?

Oh my goodness, but aren't you just as beautiful as a summer's day? Wow! And I love your voice. You have a very good speaking voice. No clicks or pallet slaps, or lisps!
You could do radio or TV adverts easy as pie.
Take the vernacular syntax of another part of your country, or another country, and try to say it in your own dialect. It's fun and it's hard to do!
For example, a Native Canadian might say: "She's a bit 'oh the alright, innitshe?"
But say it in your own voice and it sounds hilarious.
I love accents and I'm pretty good at detecting where folks are from. There was a group of woman just outside my subway stop one time. Without even thinking I asked them if they were from Charlotte, NC or Asheville and could I help them with their maps?
They were floored. They were all from Charlotte, but on gal said, "I went to college in Ashville!
That's pretty fun, to be able to do that!
For a while I produced audio books for the Canadian school system for a company with its studios in Boston. I had to find real Canadian speakers in Boston that spoke Canadian English of all regions. From the eastern Maritime Provinces all the way out to Thunder Bay, to Calgary, to Vancouver.
We beat out a Canadian firm from Toronto and man were they pissed of!

I thought generic name for that was a mineral in Ireland and norn iron. here we call it just soda for a carbonated drink in general. and name a brand if asking for it. like coke or dr pepper. toilet paper on a house.....tping.

My dad's family came from Coleraine to America in 1710. Cool to see what they may have sounded like before having the accents blended down through generations of trekking from the east coast to Iowa. Not sure if they're maintained through stubbornness or just coincidence of the local dialects, but some of these words do sound identical to how my dad's side pronounce things. Cool at any rate.
