If you are interested in a really good CD with the same music and same orchestra, write to: horstsohmmusic@gmail.com
The CD is called: Highlights of Classical Music (Handel, Albinoni, Mozart, Morricone, Piazzolla)

This is sensational. You can just sit and stare into the distance while this plays and it pushes you to want to make your dreams real, while simultaneously making you regret every choice you didn't make in your life. It's exquisite. Handel, I'm really glad whoever broke your heart, did, as this is a wonderful story put to music. Take a bow

It's not a broken heart affair, it's obviously a mournful and solemn , may be even funeral dirge. Just like Bach's Ciacona in d-minor.

I heard this for the first time 20 years ago. My 14 year old ears had never appreciated much music at all. However, when I heard this particular masterpiece, I felt an intense tingle starting in my arms, then a rush of pure emotion throughout my entire body. I felt the music touch my soul.. It was as if I had a musical orgasm, minus the need for cleanup ( or a sock for that matter, considering I was only a tender age of 14). I think it was the cello and bass parts that really did it for me. I thank you Handel for this precious gift of music.

most real music even rock comes from classic music. im a big fan of pink floyd , the who, procol harem etc, and their influence came from the classics. even opera started the form of singing of a story, for example the west side story, or phantom of the opera, kats the musical all came from opera, like puccinis lebohame, madam butterfly both my favourite musicals. you cant help but being a fan of the classics because if your not then you dont like anytype of music.

The origin to Sarabande is dance music from Mexico that evolved from a Spanish dance with Arab influences. It is human mixed culture, not western european.

@@richardvanas1 You are right. Boring off-topic propaganda. And think that Händel, one of the greatest English composers, was a German: he had a first career in Germany, where he was serving the Elector of Hanover. At 26, he asked for a holiday and began a career in England. As he was very successful at London, he wanted to stay there though Georg of Hanover, his patron, was rather reluctant about allowing him to extend his leave. But Händel stayed there without the consent of his boss.
In 1714, Georg of Hanover became the King of England, and he was the patron of Handel again. *Handel was an immigrant* and *so was the King of England George the First* .
