I found some of the MOST HILARIOUS and FAKEST Minecraft speedruns in the new 1.20 version of Minecraft- in this video I break them down and analyze them, and it is crazy…
You probably saw my past few videos like “The Most HILARIOUS FAKE Minecraft Speedruns…“, “The Biggest CHEATER in Minecraft Speedrunning…”, and “The FUNNIEST FAKE 1.19 Minecraft Speedruns…”, but this is in the new 1.20 Minecraft update!

The craziest part about all of this is that these cheated runs aren’t even faster then a good speedrun
Fake runners just have a bit too much skill issues that they can't even make a fake run faster than an average run

I tend to appreciate that most of the time, they know their run is faked, they just don’t care and like seeing people rage at a run that was, of course, overdramatized

7:10 another detail about this is that the diamonds can only generate in stacks of 1 but in their chest there's 2 stacks of 3 which wouldn't be possible

There is a gamerule in 1.20 that allows lava source conversion like at 4:30. The world icon being the same could mean it is a practiced run for the set seed category. The basement as Linkus said only generates in igloos which do not look like that on the inside, the also never contain more then 1 potion/apple. The portal room is also a dead giveaway.
The fact that he’s using a client/optifine is already an invalid run
@@SMMSHOKI know that it is invalid I'm just saying that some of the reasons he listed would be invalid evidence of cheating so that other people would not accuse people of cheating if it were for the reasons that they incorrectly thought were signs of cheating because of this video.
edit 1: Just checked and you are not allowed to use a texture pack during most speedruns.

Some quick things I noticed from watching this:
4:30 You can actually make an infinite lava source in vanilla, but it requires a gamerule which is most likely not allowed for this type of run.
5:00 If you pay attention you might notice that Runner#2’s skin has changed mid-run, which I’m quite sure you can’t do mid-game on Java Edition, even then you can’t do it secretly I don’t think
8:48 Unless there was a cut in the video, I don’t think you can change where the platform spawns, and it respawns every time someone enters the end, so it being wide most likely them attempting to make it easier I guess? I’m honestly not sure.

4:36 There's a gamerule called lavaSourceConversion which can be turned on to enable this type of behavior. I don't think it's allowed regardless.
That's default in bedrock(idm bout lava but I did with water)

He can't use a custom mod that easily due to his Badlion
This one wasn't a fake one, but it was an idiot, they went to creative, started the video after the world was loaded, then built a nether portal, and did /kill. They weren't joking either, they legitimately thought that was qualifying
'Fake' speedruns are now probably more popular than actual speedruns. Things have gotten so awkward that people actually fake fake speedruns for the clout/exposure.

Actually... Infinite lava source is possible in vanilla... It is a "More World" option where you can find "No Fire Tick", "Random Tick Speed" and "Keep Inventory" stuff... But yeah, that isn't modded :) Just as information for later videos in case you do see that again

Fun fact: using commands to apply effects you can hide the particles - heres an example:
/effect @s health_boost 10 8 false
False means: hiding the particles
On Java its: /effect give @s minecraft:health_boost 10 8 false

I actually recently discovered the toggleable game rule for turning lava into infinite sources when I'd forgotten where in the list keep inventory was.

@JAndgames20 some of my worlds have some seeds that are insane..... (In a version 1.18 world i spawned in a village with 2 blacksmiths and a ruined portal 50-70 blocks away of the village)
one of my favorites was the guy who kept stopping and cutting out the bits he "didnt play"
I'm not surprised at the faked/cheated "speedruns".
What I'm really surprised about is that some of the "runners" have the gumption to actually submit these as leaderboard potentials.

But it has to be one of the igloos that can ACTUALLY have a basement (the og igloo) not the village ones
So it would require immense luck to find one In a village
It's not even the right igloo structure
The real one has a brewing stand with the weakness potion, and there's only one gapple in the chest. Also there's supposed to be a normal villager in the first chamber and the chambers in the run are bigger than they're supposed to be
All in all the basement looks nothing like what it's supposed to look like (yes, I am a nerd)
even though the videos are so obviously fake, its still funny watching you react to them as if you didnt have a friend or someone record them

The infinite lava thing is a gamerule that was added in 1.20. I think it was something like lava source conversion and there is also one for water with which you can basically disable infinite water sources

1.20 adds many things to the game. One of these is a new game rule that will allow lava to spawn as seen in this video
The infinite lava source is a gamerule that you can select at world creation. You can also turn off the infinite water source in the same menu. However it's not a part of default Minecraft so it's not legit for speedruns
After watching almost all of Linus’ fake speed run videos, his voice has changed a lot
