Awesome rifle, RAW is fine company making solid rifles. They have never been power houses even back when Martin Rutherford was building them. All about good performance and accuracy.
I want to love this rifle. But I can't. With the advancement in lower priced rifles nowadays, such as the Gauntlet, Avenge X, Avenger, JTS Aircuda Max, etc. I don't know if the $2000 dollar guns are worth it anymore. I really don't see any advantage to these guns.
I bought a Beeman Commander .22 for under $300. It isn't regulated so getting the hammer spring right based on different pellet weights is tricky, but man that thing hits hard. I have a set of small spinners on a frame with a target mount on top. It bent the shit out of them with a little 15.42 grain pellet. It likes the 21 grain slugs the best, but does fine with the JSB 34 grain. The only problem is: they are a little too long for the mag and it catches a bit and has to be cycled by hand. I ended up using the single shot tray for them. Overall, the quality can't be beat for the price. I'll say this though, it's heavy. Especially with bipods and an optic on it. Came with a beautiful hard wood stock too. I agree, these lower priced rifles are getting a lot better now days.
Can't believe that the threaded piece flew off the barrel!! I have a threaded end on my Crosman 2240XL that cost just over $100. Then the hammer spring not able to adjust velocity. Sorry RAW, but no sale here. Nice video just the same.
put a fat o ring into the reset muzlle crown and press the adapter against it . better remove the rim from the muzzle ,there is space where pressure can work to move the adapter
sorry Nate, thats not .22lr power and raw hasnt been the same since they shipped out to the states. they were proper guns when they were made in St Ives in England. good review as usual though.
@@stuartsurkitt2585Yes over priced they are. I ordered an alpha wolf safari with 711mm slug barrel,580cc bottle, barrel clamp and extra magazine. It costed me 4000 euro 😅😅. I just really like the electronics.
One thing I noticed shooting higher end guns, do not try and forcefully secure the gun , let the light hold and light trigger do all the shooting. Strange the LDC adapter fell off, Is that allowed on You Tube ? LOL
Very good air rifle fer shur. What happened to JTS pellets? Or Gamo, H&N. Did I mention the JTS rifle shoots just as good as the distances. Good shooting boss! 💥💪💪💪🎯💯
Small but look to bulky and big, RAW needs to get the hell away from Texan/texas airguns, RAW needs to change up there stock, add more power etc, they have some catching up to do
@@AirgunChannel yes it is,I agree with you 💯 % I was looking forward to seeing them put out more guns, turn into a FX brand having more than one gun to choose from, like how Benjamin should have made a bullpup marauder, add more power and calibers,30,35, how FX did there impact and created more guns, the Benjamin rouge was one time the most powerful gun, AR style and they destroyed it for the Benjamin bulldog 😭😭 ,
There are so many better bargains out there right now than spending 2K$ on this RAW v/s buying a Notos and an Avenger…yeah. 1 is a 100 yard gun the other like the mini is a 50 yard gun. After all they are just PCPs…all 3 are regulated and super easy to shoot.
So I have seen you shoot better groups with a spring Air rifle over this RAW. Not trying to knock the gun just a fact as well as my Benjamin Armada shoots tighter groups then that RAW was shooting at 50yds for way less money. Love the channel but not impressed with this one and with all the issues that we literally are seeing in your video you are still trying to defend the issues and say it is a good gun.. Sucks having to be beholden to those damn sponsors and so you can't quite say what you really want to say or they will quit sending you stuff to review. Lol!
I think I said it with my groups LOL! No time for a reshoot. If Air Force was a sponser I never would have showed that. They don't want to work with me.
Hi, great review, however you shouldn’t have to work that hard to shoot good groups, with a supposedly hi end , hi price rifle. You are a way better than average shooter, and you struggled with it. I will pass on this one.
@@AirgunChannel I agree with Kurt. I've seen you shoot way better with a "semi" budget gun. Sorry I was disappointed with the gun, not you. Maybe you'll figure it out or you got the lemon in the batch. Do you ever contact the manufacturer for advice? Keep up the videos. Always enjoyable.
Not particularly impressed 😕 groups average, the adjustable power didn't work and the thread adapter blew off. Theoben rapids still better than this. FX in a different league to this. Hasn't impressed me
@@AirgunChannel i use an avenger .25 tuned to 40fpe for backyard pesting using fx 25.4 @850fps racoons possums groundhogs etc its the perfect energy level to not send a passthrough over to the neighbor lol. i dont feel comfortable shooting a higher fpe up into the trees and such, what goes up must come down lol. im careful with shots even @ a lowly 40 fpe a possums skull can deflect it and it can fully passthrough some animals so even if it was 11 fpe i would choose my shots wisely. i live out in the country so theres not as much worry for me but i still make sure the background is safe before shooting.

Not too impressed with that gun, it seems very picky with ammo and the threaded end shouldn’t fly off, my first thoughts were that it was clipping and that’s what forced it off, I have the FX Impact M3 in 30 cal and not every pellet or slug shoots perfect out of it but I have a good variety of ones that shoot very good and excellent, after seeing this performance and quality I think I’ll spend my money on something different, so the hunt will go on until I find the right one, I’m actually waiting on the new Karma airgun, not the panda, the other one, I think it’s the eqx or something like that
Yeah, I think RAW has been going downhill ever since Airforce took over. Somethings are going right like the chassis system and caliber options, somethings are going wrong like fit/finish.

That looks like a pretty nice rifle. I have always been a fan of carbine rifles. Excellent review as always!
I didn't realize how coll a short barrel was. I am sold on these style wood stock guns. I think all the brands should put models like this out.
That lower is absolutely beautiful...great review my man
Thank you! Yes the laminate stocks are like nothing else!
Very nice especially the grey & the red laminates but we are only allowed 12 ft lbs here in the UK.
Darn! They should make a 12ft pound version!
I think Solware in the UK stock these rifles on legal limit?? Solware are in Tamworth in the Birmingham area.

There's also a Tactical version with a Fully-adjustable stock.
