    1. Be fully aware of where you are moving.
    2. If you have children then do not wait to look for schools. Start a year in advance. Schools are expensive. If you are from the west, do not put your child in a government school.
    3. Take Arabic language courses.
    4. Don't be afraid to ask for translation.
    5. Prepare yourself for cultural differences that you will not be able to change. Learn to be patient.
    6. Immunity takes time.
    7. Dress appropriately depending on location. Maybe skip the shorts.
    8. You will see a lot of poverty...
    9. As a foreigner, people will try to scam you. Take someone with you who speaks the language.
    10. Shopping is expensive. (Clothing, make-up, shoes, and electronics)

Hello, I've been living in egypt now for 5 years and one thing I struggle with is having things shipped to me. I always want to buy things outside of egypt but it feels like it's nearly impossible unless you have someone that's coming to egypt from abroad (which is a ultra rare thing). I dont know if you could talk about that too. My mom has been trying to find ways to ship things to me but it's not only expensive on her end, the customs here are a nightmare! I think I've only ever had people bring me the things my mom sent to me through flying to egypt, and the one time my parents and brother actually came to visit.
I live in Sheikh Zayed ❤❤

@@dhruvmalik6 it genuinely differs from school to school. You have to contact schools to know their rates. Also, the bigger issue isn’t the fee. The big issue is the application and acceptance. The good schools require you to apply, have interviews, and take assessments. It’s a really long process that usually starts between Oct.- Feb of each year. If you are planning for the 2021-2022 year, I’d suggest you start now.
