Some beautiful watches. I don't know much about watches but I appreciate the artistry and the watch community on TH-cam is amazing. I own a Seiko 5 and A cocktail time mojito. Love them both
They are nice, as was that Orient you showed at the beginning. I am 5' 7" and my wrist is the height of all doorknobs, so no domed crystals for me. I would have to get new ones every 7 - 10 days.
I own the blue Presage and I've got to say it is absolutely beautiful. When your outside in the sun, the blue sunburst dial just pops like crazy. It is a very subtle watch, most people will think its just another $50 or $100 watch. But people who are knowledgeable about watches will compliment you on it.
I actually think most people who only know Rolex as a brand will think the Seiko Presage Cocktail is an expensive watch. It has a very classy dress watch vibe that will make people think it's worth more than it is. No matter if it's a layman or a watch enthusiast, you will get plenty compliments.
On the second watch, with the white dial, I notice you mentioned that the hands are blue, you didn't say "blued". Are the hands painted blue or heat blued? Thanks. I like the white dial one as well.
Hello again Mark. I have to say that I do indeed enjoy your segment on these beautiful Seiko watchs. The sarw025 and the sarx041 with the hairing bone dials, excuse my spelling, are just great. I can't make my mind up, and then you throw in the enamel dial and I want them all. These watchs sell them selves. Now I have to say you are a great salesman because one can see the passion you have for a great product. Thanks again.
Got myself a SARX029 a little while back and it is truly amazing to look at. The black enamel dial is super deep and the contrasting silver indices and gold hands are great. Definitely worth the price. It's hard to justify spending that much money on a 6R15 but the enamel is truly worth it
The Presage are in a sweet spot (except for no sapphire) for style, choice and function. Most striking of all are the dials: Hemp, sunburst, guilloche, hemp and basket weave are all extraordinary.
the cocktail time on that strap is absolutely killer, definitely gonna pick one up with an exotic strap to go with it and maybe a strapcode bracelet too
Nice video Marc, outside of the Japanese companies Patek also puts the deployant on the "wrong" way. To expand on your point on enamel, if you ever wondered why pocket watches from 1-300 years ago can look minty fresh, where as watch dials from a few decades ago look badly aged and worn out, part of that reason is because those pocket watches used enamel dials.
Wow, the cocktail and strap loooks million dollar. Anyway Mark, I have small wrist and I'm very agree for some people dress watch 40 mm is too large and I think dress watch under 40 mm is more appealing. Would you create some video to show us some great dress watch under 40 mm?
Thank you for this review, sir. I've learned so much about this line of watches. If you are interested I can tell you which one I liked the most - the first one.
@2:45 Not true. Not every Presage has SPRON. The ones that use the lowly 4R35 movement, and there are several, don't have either a SPRON balance or main spring.
I plan to strap switch to a brown strap too, but do you think the blue dial is more for 30+ year old men rather than a teenager? I am a teenager with a rather petite wrist
Saw the SPB061J1... and I wondering is there any difference between SPB061J1 and SPB043J1? Both have same specs. The only difference I notice is the dial: SPB061J1 have the word "Presage" on it while SPB043J1 don't...
Hi Mark, what is the exact croco strap that you used in the video? The link shows some different colors, and I’m not sure whether you used the “cognac” or the “tan”. Please could you clarify?
Great video Mark. Quick question, is the Spron material used in the presage SRPB43 or SRPB77? From what I read, one of the difference between the 4R35 and the 6R15 (original sarb065) is the use of spron in the 6R15. Am I having the right information? Thanks
Another great video Mark. I can't seem to find that croc strap on the site through the 'accessories' menu options, am I missing something? Looking to pick it up!!
Nice video, as always. I was wondering if you could compare the sarx019 to the sarx049. I'm having trouble justifying the 20,000 yen price difference between the two.
Great video as always, Mark! Why do watches with roman numerals typically write the number 4 as "IIII" instead of the correct way of writing it as "IV"?
Good timing - I've been eyeing a Presage SARY055 as my next watch. Not a lot of info/reviews out there on that model though. Any impressions on that one?
I can see that. I've been looking for an "understated but classy" watch to add to my collection. And I figure it would go well with a range of leather straps too.
Good work on the video Marc! Although I'm really curious if you'll carry the SPB049J1... I think it has way more appeal than the usual Presages we see. Cheers
Watched this video 3 times. Looked into Hamilton, Tissot, even dreamt about JaegerLeCoultre. Just got the basic Presage with white dial and brown leather strap. What a perfect second watch to my Submariner:-)
What sort of accuracy are people typically getting in practice with the 6R15? I know that Seiko tend to be *very* conservative with what their movements are rated to for whatever reason and they're not a very good indication of actual accuracy (iirc, Seiko rates the 6R15 at +25/-15, or something like that).
Charles Carr on my SARB017 I'm getting between +2 and +4 a day. That's pretty damn good. Being fast is great too because I just reset it by pulling the crown for a few seconds and it's back to official time.
Hey Mark, I got the black friday announcement e-mail and was wondering if those were all the watches that would be on sale. Im waiting for a sale to purchase the Sun and Moon, Ray Raven 2, and Bambino v4
My fav. Was the second one but there is a model with a red #12 that is even more stunning at around 450 thru 600 depending but i have to sell a few things but that is the piece i would buy,, saving up
Those are all nice looking watches. I like the white dial with the Arabic numbers the best, i like the applied seiko logo as well. I do not care for the power reserve indicator, I feel like it cheapens the look of the watch.
I'm genuinely offended that many of the presage models are not sold in the USA. I may not buy one now, specially since the Swiss don't think they're too good to sell me certain models.
Can you explain the difference between 6R27 and 6R15? One difference I can see is that the 6R27 beats at a higher frequency based on the smooth motion of the seconds hand.
All 6R movements have the same frequency, 21,600vph (3Hz). The difference between the 6R15 and the 6R27 is the type of complications and their layout. E.g. the 6R15 uses a date disc and a date window, the 6R27 uses a date subdial and it also has the power reserve. This is also the reason why the two movements have different jewel counts.
Where did you source this information? Watch Wiki shows a beat difference: 21, 600 for 6R15 and 28, 800 FOR 6R27. www.watch-wiki.net/index.php?title=Seiko_6R15
I stand corrected, should have checked my facts properly. These movements indeed have a different beat rate as Strom-Trooper has also pointed out. Thanks for the reference.
Hi ! The cognac strap is currently out of stock in 20mm...do you think this one could be good on the Seiko presage cocktail blue ? www.longislandwatch.com/Toscana_GR_069VI14_watch_strap_p/gr-069vi14.htm Thanks !
Marc, thank you for this video. I am a big fan of the Presage line of watches. Two of the ones you showed are on my list to get. Although the just announced SRPC01 Starlight I am just smitten with. That may move ahead of the line. I also love the SARX041 and the SARG015 (wish they still made that one). Anyway, great video to give a better introduction to the Presage line! Mark.
The beat rate for the 6R15 caliber is 21,600 bph just like its sibling 4R35. However, all 6R2x movements do have the higher beat rate of 28,800 bph. See the Seiko owner's manual in the following hyperlink: www.seikowatches.com/support/ib/pdf/SEIKO_6R20_21_24_27_E.pdf

Damn you. Bought the blue.
Sorry, and thank you!

@@user-ez5vq9fd2t If only Seiko magnified the date, it would really look like a Rolex.
@@bro8856I am OK with not looking like Rolex.
That blue dial with the brown strap is still the best looking one in this video. Looked really expensive on the wrist.
Doesn't it? Thanks for watching.
Would the brown strap and blue face match with a navy blue suit and brown shoes ? How about brown suit on brown shoes ?
@@Longshore79 I think it'd be perfect assuming the browns are of the same/similar shade
The alligator strap looks gorgeous on the cocktail style one! I’m not a big Seiko fan but this combo is breathtakingly awesome!
Thanks, I thought so.
I´m Getting a Long Island Watch in the next few Weeks... Great Job Brother, We need another Video with TGV!!! Love You guys to talk Watches!!!!
Thank you Mark. What is the exact color of the Crocodile strap? Brown, Cognac or Tan? Many thanks.
Nice reviews. Personal opinions is just what I like to hear!
I just got the blue used for great price. I cannot wait to put it on a brown leather strap. Thank you, it looks stunning.
is it hard to replace the strap ? I'd like to buy the same watch but swap the original strap for a leather one
On the second watch, with the white dial, I notice you mentioned that the hands are blue, you didn't say "blued". Are the hands painted blue or heat blued? Thanks. I like the white dial one as well.
Blued. Thanks for catching that.
Thank you for the clarification.

Both the blue moon and the blue ice cocktail are amazing watches.
Really like the Roman Numeral version, glad to see you carrying these!
Thanks Steven!
I just got the blue moon one. Gotta say, fits waaaay better than the size would suggest on my 6.5 wrist. The lugs drop rather nicely.
the cocktail time on that strap is absolutely killer, definitely gonna pick one up with an exotic strap to go with it and maybe a strapcode bracelet too
Thanks!
Hi Marc... do you sell the blue one with sapphire crystal??? Can you change it before I buy (of course charging more)? Thanks !
Just looks amazing, I really want to buy both and put them together, but can you please tell me if is it the Tan or the Cognac color?
Ive seen the srpb41 on a black croco strap and its very gorgeous. it make a good combo with the dial as well as it get darker on the edge
Nice video Marc, outside of the Japanese companies Patek also puts the deployant on the "wrong" way.

Wow, I did not know either thing. Thanks for sharing. So Orient and Seiko are in the same thinking as Patek :)
Hey Mark,
Will you get the new presage Seiko just released like the Srpc01j1?
Best Regards,
WCS
Not sure at this point, sorry.
Great video Marc. Gotta love your enthusiasm! A comparison of the enameled dial number to the SARX033 would be interesting.
Thanks, maybe next time.
The SARX019. Yeah, sharp looking watch!
Thanks!
Wow, the cocktail and strap loooks million dollar. Anyway Mark, I have small wrist and I'm very agree for some people dress watch 40 mm is too large and I think dress watch under 40 mm is more appealing. Would you create some video to show us some great dress watch under 40 mm?
I will consider it for a future video.
Thank you for this review, sir. I've learned so much about this line of watches. If you are interested I can tell you which one I liked the most - the first one.
Haha, actually I am a blue fan :)
That is my watch! :D
@2:45 Not true. Not every Presage has SPRON. The ones that use the lowly 4R35 movement, and there are several, don't have either a SPRON balance or main spring.
what is the different between SPB035J1 SPB063J1?
Thank you in advance for your answer
What size the band should be? 20/18?
“Is that a power play” 😆 it is indeed. Looks 10x better on that leather strap 👌🏼
Thanks!
Got a black leather straps for big blue. Once it comes in
I plan to strap switch to a brown strap too, but do you think the blue dial is more for 30+ year old men rather than a teenager? I am a teenager with a rather petite wrist
Saw the SPB061J1... and I wondering is there any difference between SPB061J1 and SPB043J1?
Both have same specs. The only difference I notice is the dial: SPB061J1 have the word "Presage" on it while SPB043J1 don't...
Great video. Any strap recommendations for the Manhattan rose gold Presage?
"Man, what a play. Is that a power play?" "Manatees? Man, what a tease!"
the second watch with the white textured dial. i cant find it on your website?
Hi Mark, what is the exact croco strap that you used in the video? The link shows some different colors, and I’m not sure whether you used the “cognac” or the “tan”. Please could you clarify?
Cognac. The tan is a bit "greyer".
Tell me, does the strap come with spring bars? The strap in the video didn't appear to have any.
Great video Mark. Quick question, is the Spron material used in the presage SRPB43 or SRPB77? From what I read, one of the difference between the 4R35 and the 6R15 (original sarb065) is the use of spron in the 6R15. Am I having the right information? Thanks
Hey! Do you have the second one available?
Gorgeous watch and from £329 - you cannot go wrong,
do you ever get the presage arita watches back in as PX?
Wow, I'd forgotten how good the original Cocktail Time SARB is. Need to give it some more wrist time.
Rekindling an old romance!
Buckle at the 6 o'clock is my preferred way to wear any strap, give it a try
A defector, great! Enjoy it.
Seiko Presage line... great watches... sold at a decent price point.
I love that crocodile strap, but does anybody know if he used the Cognac or Tan?
He replied elsewhere that it's the cognac
Hi :)
This crocodile strap is awesome ! I would buy one but is it the Tan or the Cognac one ?
Thank you :)
Is the SPB063 discontinnued? I can´t find it.
Another great video Mark. I can't seem to find that croc strap on the site through the 'accessories' menu options, am I missing something? Looking to pick it up!!
Check video description; has all links.
is this spb061j1 the same model as SARW029 ?
Hi, just want to make sure, the prices are in USD right? Thanks!
Yes.
I have the same as the blue dial but mine is green. I don't think the bracelet is terrible. IMO
Nice video, as always. I was wondering if you could compare the sarx019 to the sarx049. I'm having trouble justifying the 20,000 yen price difference between the two.
What size did you use for the strap?
Awesome video Marc!
Thank you!
Hey Marc, is the leather band on the blue cocktail time tan or Cognac?
He replied elsewhere that it's the Cognac
Great video as always, Mark! Why do watches with roman numerals typically write the number 4 as "IIII" instead of the correct way of writing it as "IV"?
Because it balances the VIII on the other side of the dial.
Good timing - I've been eyeing a Presage SARY055 as my next watch. Not a lot of info/reviews out there on that model though. Any impressions on that one?
I had my hand on that one before the video. I thought it just a bit pedestrian for the video, but a great watch nonetheless.
I can see that. I've been looking for an "understated but classy" watch to add to my collection. And I figure it would go well with a range of leather straps too.
Good work on the video Marc! Although I'm really curious if you'll carry the SPB049J1... I think it has way more appeal than the usual Presages we see. Cheers
Thank, I'll check it out.
Hi Mark,
The metal bracelet, does it use pins and collars or screws?
Troy Evans pins and collar. Seiko loves pins and collar
Watched this video 3 times. Looked into Hamilton, Tissot, even dreamt about JaegerLeCoultre. Just got the basic Presage with white dial and brown leather strap. What a perfect second watch to my Submariner:-)
Nice catch!
I bought it yesterday and it is doing +5sec in 12 hours. Is it normal?
Do you have a physical store?
What sort of accuracy are people typically getting in practice with the 6R15? I know that Seiko tend to be *very* conservative with what their movements are rated to for whatever reason and they're not a very good indication of actual accuracy (iirc, Seiko rates the 6R15 at +25/-15, or something like that).

Honestly, that Bambino in the beginning was much more attractive than the actual watches you made the video for 😂. Excellent showcase!
Do you ship to Singapore?
Yes.
Hey Mark, I got the black friday announcement e-mail and was wondering if those were all the watches that would be on sale. Im waiting for a sale to purchase the Sun and Moon, Ray Raven 2, and Bambino v4
There will be more on sale than you see in the newsletter.
What size strap is blue dial perssage? 20 mm or 22 mm?
20
My fav. Was the second one but there is a model with a red #12 that is even more stunning at around 450 thru 600 depending but i have to sell a few things but that is the piece i would buy,, saving up
Yes, the red 12 gives it a nice twist. If anyone wonders the references to check out are SPB039, SARW025 or SARX041.
Yes, I have one or two of them on site, nice watches.
Isn't 40.5 too big for a dress watch? Too bad it isn't a bit smaller.
That would be nice, but it's a good spot.
Can anyone comment how this sits on a 6 inch wrist?
Great video!, One question is the size of that crocodile watch strap 20 mm?, I want to buy that seiko's model and also the strap :)
Yes, it is.
Wearing 2 watchs is legal?
Blue was CRYING out for a black strap, i didnt think the brown worked well at all with it.
Those are all nice looking watches. I like the white dial with the Arabic numbers the best, i like the applied seiko logo as well. I do not care for the power reserve indicator, I feel like it cheapens the look of the watch.
Thanks for sharing.
I'm genuinely offended that many of the presage models are not sold in the USA. I may not buy one now, specially since the Swiss don't think they're too good to sell me certain models.
Mark I need to buy the blue dial. But it is out of stock!! Devastating.
Soon!
Mark you are a man of your word. Much appreciated!
Are you sure that's not a windable/hackable gen 2 on your wrist?
I thought I was sure. I'm 99% sure, but it's away now. Why do you ask?
It looked like one that I own.

seiko or tissot ? japanese or swiss made ??
Hi ! The cognac strap is currently out of stock in 20mm...do you think this one could be good on the Seiko presage cocktail blue ? www.longislandwatch.com/Toscana_GR_069VI14_watch_strap_p/gr-069vi14.htm Thanks !
Absolutely. Brown and blue are made for each other.
Thanks Mark.
Your are most welcome.
I tought you mustn't move the minute hands backwards??
You can, just I wouldn't do it in the middle of the night.
Cant wait for more watch n learn, ; moon phase 🌙
Yup, me too!
Superb, so hard to pick a favourite. I'd bet a large percentage of the Cocktail time watch buyers are women or purchasing for women?
Nope, it's men for men!
I want that SPB061 so bad. Forever out of stock.
ClaxtonBay123 Tell me about it.
Marc, thank you for this video. I am a big fan of the Presage line of watches. Two of the ones you showed are on my list to get. Although the just announced SRPC01 Starlight I am just smitten with. Makes me wonder how much it really costs to create an enamel dial when the Tisell Antique has one for less than $200
my cooking pot 15euro is coated in enamel so hard to guess
Difference in quality and craftsmanship, like most things in life I think.
20mm Cognac strap is OOS :(
Everyone talking about the blue dial version, but that's my least favourite!
sangat mewah dan indah
That strap on the green Presage would have been better.
"Real Treasures."
Thanks.
The blue dial with that brown leather strap is a bad looking combo, the colors just don't fit. I would go with a darker, no texture leather strap
I like it. Maybe you get a different one :)
well I think its time to buy another watch
Isn't it always?
too large
