I know, My cousin work in mattel México and he Say the collection minis it's delayed because of the pandemic, but mattel have plans yo continue the collection..!!!!.hope!!!!

I think A LOT of toys in general (here specifically, Toy Story, Toy Story 25th Anniversary, and Pixar toys) have been delayed because of the pandemic. Lots of plastics were going into mask making, companies were cutting labor, factories were shut down or downsized, fewer people were out shopping, etc. etc. etc. With fewer toys made, fewer toys shipped, and fewer toys shelved, it has been a bizarre time in the toy industry (and many industries). Since it's an unprecedented thing, though, no one really knows if there will be catch up items. It depends on so many things including how long it takes us to beat COVID globally. I've got my fingers crossed that they will back-produce and release everything they held.....problem is, I'm not sure how far ahead the toys have been planned. It may cluster up future toy releases too. Many toys are based on popular shows and movies, and those are still being released currently, so who knows?!

YES! Let's keep staying positive. It's very possible some of these may have just been pushed back. Trying not to loose hope!
@@DanthePixarFan I won’t!! 😆 With how popular the Toy Story minis seem to be, they’re probably are just delayed and might come out later this year if we’re lucky!!

The series based on all of the shorts and specials being cancelled was the saddest one although all of them were sad.

Nice video! I love this line too! I'm thinking most if not all will show up in future lines. I think the Toy Story 3, 4, and Shorts lines will be released too, just may take a little longer due to the pandemic. It seems like the Pixar minis line, like Soul and Onward, took priority to promote the movies. Maybe worse case is we get another Toy Story wave (Toy Story 3 next?) wave release during Luca's promotion. If there is no Luca wave of minis, then that increases its chances too.
There was also a Pixar wave that was released in Japan (and I think Mexico) I don't think hit the USA, so they may be releasing them in different countries too.
I think they are doing well, because they seem to sell out in most places. The ones that are more focused on the movies, like Soul and Onward, seem to kind of shelfwarm, while Pixar and Toy Story lines sell faster (based on my experience).
Thanks for watching and for your comment! Yes I collect all the Pixar minis too and will be doing a video of the unreleased ones from that collection as well. And you're right! Pixar series 2 was only released in Japan and Mexico at this point-such a bummer. Luca will have minis (revealed in my previous video), so at least minis are still being produced. Still holding out hope that these aren't canceled forever!
@@DanthePixarFan Same here! Ooh, also there is a winking variant of Barbie part of a 3 pack with Ken and Lotso that wans't released. I think it was listed on Amazon before being taken down.
By the way, do you have a link or source for the clean images of the Toy Story 3 and Shorts wave shown in your video? The images I have of them have the watermark on them haha
@@DanthePixarFan Oh also, are there any particular characters you want to see as Toy Story minis they haven't made yet (and outside the unreleased/canceled ones)? I'd like to personally see them make more of Sid's toys, the Robot (Andy's toy), the Snake (Andy's toy), Mr. Jones (the Iguana), and variants of Ducky and Bunny as doing Plush Rush at the very end of Toy Story 4! :D Also maybe the Fun Meal Buzz and Zurgs, but not sure how they'd do those.
@@ShyGuyPal102 Wow amazing choices, I had the same exact ones in mind! A Sid's toy pack that includes all of them would be amazing and a dream come true. And more from the shorts and specials like Old Timer, the Pocketeer, any of the Small Fry characters and so on! All the minis please, ha!

Oh by the way, thought you'd like to know this: I found some psuedo finished looking images of several minis seen in the video on a Brazilian (?) website ("Mercado Livre") this evening! The website looks a little sketchy so I won't link it.
The mini images I found include: Dolly, Twitch, Chuckles (rendered), Captain Suds, Reptillus Maximus, Transitron, B/W Shiny Jessie, B/W Shiny Alien, B/W Shiny Bo Peep (TS4). This probably means they are being released, just delayed and/or getting released to other countries! Either way, hoping for the best!

@@DanthePixarFan I kind of want a mini of every Pixar character......this is where collecting becomes dangerous. Haha. I'm already also addicted to the Disney minis, which are officially called Disney Doorables and also come in blind packs. However, those blinds are multiple surprises per box instead of single packs. I do wish they'd just release sets of the minis with 1 of each so I can buy it and be done :P or several smaller sets that you can see what you are getting and cut the price some. $5 each for a single 1-inch figure is high and adds up super fast. I'd even be up for a bucket of 50 characters or something, similar to how they sell army men or the Bucket of Dragons based on How to Train Your Dragon. Maybe one day....

Woah that's a long time! I'm collector of them myself! I wish I could show you my collection to you somehow. I've been collecting the Mattel 7inch series. I have nearly got all of them. I wish they would release slower so I could keep up with them all. I have all of wave 1 and wave 2, I'm just starting wave 3, and I'm only need Wilden Lightfoot to complete the Onward series. I have Joe Gardner and 22 as well. I will also get the Toy story figures that are in this series. (NOT THE TOY STORY 4 ONES) But yeah! I have all of Andy's full size toy sin my collection (Movie Accurate). Anyway I have been collecting Pixar merch my whole life. Ever since I got my first little Lenny from Toy Story I have been a collector.

Pixar never made minis of Mr and Ms Potato Head, probably because they never got permission from Hasbro.

Yes I know, I explain that in my blog post. She was released as part of the original blind bags series 2. However this was a new paint job, so a new version which was supposed to be released. So the one I showed in this video was technically a cancelled release.

Oh my goodness, I want a Pixar mini of Stinky Pete (maybe exclusive version since 1 is already out) that also comes with/in a small box that he can be taken in and out of....similar to the Shopkins, Real Littles, and Mini Brands toys. Also I need to find out if Mini brands ever made any Toy Story toys in their lines? I only just recently discovered their toy brand ones. Also, yes, I am just as, if not more disappointed about all of these cancelations. I love toys, but I am an especially big Toy Story fanatic. It is kind of the main core of my collection(s). I also am rather attached to minis (and minis playsets) in general because they are so much easier to store....ie. I can hoard them all! LOL. I found the first wave of Toy Story minis you showed 1 time at 1 location of 5 Below, and I bought the entire box and all the bags in it. Sadly, I am still missing Sally doll with dinosaur head and a few others. Never seen them anywhere else again or even restocked at that location. I need to post a video on my minis and buddies at some point. Were you aware of the Toy Story Buddy figures? They were released to go along with the Action Links playsets which had several pieces that connect together and all trigger each other like a Rube Goldberg machine. Very cool toys that I recommend looking up at least, if you have missed any of them. (One of these days I will make a video of my action links and buddy figures and minis and minis playsets......and ALL my other Toy Story toys.......but anyway....) The figures, which were also sold in packs separate from the sets, are slightly bigger than the minis. If the minis are about an inch tall, the buddies are about 2 inches tall. They also each have a hole in 1 foot to attach to pegs on the playsets and in the vehicles. If you are looking for a Mr. Shark or Big Baby, both were released as buddy figures. They will be a bit bigger than the rest of your minis, though. Oh, and some of the buddies have been released as color changers, which is super fun. I think they were called Color Splash Buddies, and there was even a little water playset for them with a slide.
I am also especially saddened by the tease of Transitron. I've got several different sizes and types of toy mods of him started because so far there are NO toys of him released. I already made my movie-sized Trixie and better looking movie-sized Angel Kitty for a live action Toy Story That Time Forgot youtube project.....I've also done Combat Carl, Combat Carl Jr., Bo Peep (at a time when her doll cost $300 +), Old Timer, Legs, and some others. I've also got tons of ideas and partial project pieces stashed away for more toy mods of all the Toy Story toys they either never made or made too expensive. I'm holding off on my Rocky Gibraltar because UK already has his 7 inch poseable figure, and one of these days it might appear back in stock on Amazon. Fingers crossed!
