He was the one who never opened up to me. He never expressed his feelings but kept me on hold, acted as if he was interested, but he was too busy with work, but then he pushed me away. He’d take everything, and never offer anything back. He was a taker, not a giver. I was honest, open, transparent, loving, caring towards him and I catered to all his needs. I built him up, he constantly tore me down. He breadcrumbed, ghosted, lied, cheated and betrayed me. He was keeping secrets and acting as if all was great between us. Then I discovered his betrayal by accident, and confronted him. I stood up for myself and I was compassionate. He didn’t apologize. I told him I forgave him and I walked away with a broken heart.
