Brad you should use the lens hood. I have brought JJC lens hood which is pretty good for this lens that I also have. The one from Cannon is laughable.

What’s for you the difference between getting the FR 50mm and the FR 35mm?

50mm is a great option if if you need something slightly cheaper, 35mm shows more of the background and 50mm is great for portraits. I was rocking with a 50mm before the 35mm, a great lens to start with. 🔥
