I mained the 11M Pro for ages, till I tried the Tornado V2. That smooth, buttery and effortless feel, and alignment ease… that was my main since. Then, still believing that GAN was “the man”, I did try the 12. Gave it to my son. Unstable, clacky, just could not get good times on it, found it just stopped me from solving the cube - had to stop and reset during Algs. Really annoying. Then, got both Tornado V3 and the GAN 13. As this Video suggests, the 13 was a slight improvement over the 12, but not nearly enough to take the honours from the Tornado V2. Let alone the V3! Now that was an upgrade. I can tell the difference - as my son has had me blindfolded and I have successfully guessed which one is which. And I can’t do that with the GANs. The Tornado V3 is even more effortless, feather-touch turning, but aligns perfectly, and is beautifully smooth. I do try to set them all up the same, depending on how they take the lube, using different combinations of one or more of Gravitas, Dignitas, Cosmic lubes (mostly lunar or Martian), gan lube and DNM-37. After all this, trying all sorts of settings… I think GAN has finally lost it for me.

I know everyone has different muscles but for me not having to force initial turn due to edge to core magnets is the real thing. 13 is so easy to initiate the turn it won’t bother me even at late night when I really tired and muscles starting to feel a bit stiff. Well, it’s time to watch the video.
I bought all 3 versions of the RS3 M 2022 and the Tornado V3 Pioneer for the price of the Gan 13 UV, well £3.00 more but also, I got 5% off so came in at same price as the Gan. You do the math 🙂 I have a couple of Gan 11 M Pro cubes, RS3 M 2020 & 2021 maglev's, WRM 2021 maglev... The Tornado V3 for me is the best performing and feeling in hand of them all. It's like a mix of all of the above but twice as nice! All the RS3 M cubes are better than my Gan 11 M Pro cubes Imo 👍.
@@iamfromearth8843 I added magnets to the 2020/2021 versions to help improve them for my turning, but this also makes them heavier. All three (2022 versions) are better than the 2020/2021 versions. The 2022 versions don't need extra magnets so remain lighter and are better overall. I personally would go with the 2022 maglev version, it's well worth the money. Hope this helps.

One thing that most people get wrong is that the Gan 11 and the Gan 12 edge pieces aren't the same. The Gan 12 edge piece has a larger and wider torpedo compared to the Gan 11, this is the cause of the Gan 12 catching problem, not the core magnets. When I replaced the Gan 12 edge pieces with the Gan 11 edge pieces, it turns really smoothly, I don't recall having any catching issues when I made this mod. And corner cutting was improved. I am curious about the Gan 13's piece design due tho this, I would like to know.
Im currently using the UV gan 12 maglev and i've never got any catches lol. In my opinion, they both the same. I got a 10.41 on the 12 and a 11.23 on the 13. In short, the 13 just doesnt worth 85$. The 12 is fast, controlable and smooth at the same time. The 11 is smooth, controlable and it gives an unique feel that help you feel the lubricant more specific.
