Another question..hoping for responses to both - with bringing in other sources, I want to bring in my cohosts from the US, as I'm in Canada, usually we use Zoom, but what would be the best way to bring them in as sources to the Mini from the internet?
Question about bonding and streaming - if you're out at a hockey rink, and streaming through cellular hotspot and bond it with rink wifi...what actually sends the stream out? Does the Mini itself have big antennas in it to send out the stream or does it redirect the new bonded signal back through your cellular hotspot? Can a phone's hotspot handle the higher speed bonded signal? Can you include more than one cellphone to bond with?
Hi.. thank you for turning me on to this awesome device! I was able to find one on ebay for $600 from a guy that bought every switcher known to man so he could have a hands on trial (he still has atem products). He sold his DM because it didn't have 4 hdmi inputs. Anyway... Question: how many different live shows can I broadcast at one time to different urls? I'm trying to create a niche industry player with 5 channels (US Quail TV) for our co-op members. I want to have a live channel out as channel 1 And buttons on the player url for the other channels (a TH-cam educational playlist, a featured members loop, a second live broadcast from a 2nd smtp source. I want to make it like you are changing the channels on a retro Tv frame overlay on the player. I'm wondering if I can use the DM in such a way that the viewer can select the show they want (even if it's not live). There's probably a better way, but this feels easy
Welcome to join Director Mini. You can stream to two destinations simultaneously. For the live shows, do you mean scenes in one show? there is no limitation. Ticket is always recommend if you expect a prompt reply from Magewell experts: tickets.magewell.com/
We find no heating issues. You may also want to hear some feedback from experienced DM users, and you can put your questions in the community here: facebook.com/groups/magewellusergroup
Solid alternative to yolo. I see why your not tied into them anymore, good for you. Question where is the LTE or is this only achieved via a USB Dongle and not built-in? And does this support 5G network Is the WiFi 6e or 5G only God speed
@@Magewell salutations thanks for the response however it dosent answer the question of the speed the devices are capable and can it support them E.g. 6e or 5G LTE etc. I have 5/6e APs will it support those protocols. If I use a 5G usb dongol will it connect. The yolobox ultra is on 4G dispite it high price and so called ultra tag. God speed sir
@@Magewell No it's a valid question. Output latency only, ignoring all input latency, has a figure in ms, what is it? Then we can test the input latency of different types and add to it, along with downstream latency etc.
@@Magewell Hi. I guess another way of asking is can this unit be used for local image magnification (IMAG) use cases? Today with use HDMI and SDI ATEM units with no noticeable latency/delay. Some products are not for live broadcast and only streaming which is fair.
Are there audio vs video latency issues with the USB-out when using MDM as a webcam? This is still an issue with Yolobox Pro for instance. The video is ahead of the audio and can't be adjusted.
Great video! Thank you. Going to implement this into live in person and remote trainings.
THis is very good product and worth to buy

Hi there, I’m wondering if the input can be computer or laptop for the online classes instead of cameras? Thanks

Let's Go!
Any heating issues doing a full setup with recording and streaming for hours?

hope this device have 2 hdmi input n 2 SDI input

Is the WiFi 6e or 5G only
God speed
It supports connecting to the network through Ethernet, WiFi, Cellular (USB modem) and network bonding (Speedify).

@@AudioFraternity The Director Mini model doesn't support built-in LTE or 6e Wi-Fi. It supports 5G network over USB modem connectivity.
@@Magewell thank you so only 5G WiFi and mobile data. Much appreciated
What is the latency like for program IMAG output?
It depends on your setup, for example, how you connect the inputs, etc. You will know that for sure in your specific setup.
@@Magewell No it's a valid question. Output latency only, ignoring all input latency, has a figure in ms, what is it? Then we can test the input latency of different types and add to it, along with downstream latency etc.

The output latency is between 80-100ms. The lab test was made with HDMI input and HDMI output (additional Typec-to-HDMI adaptor involved).
@@Magewell So I guess that is input+output latency then? Or is it comparing timecode media on the display of the dm with the output?
Is this a paid sponsorship video?
Yes we paid to create this video to give a detailed step-by-step tips of how you can use Director Mini to create your own fantastic shows.

The device runs without visible latency in the lab testing. It also supports manual adjustment option as a plan B.
