    Love it with couscous but you can't go wrong without it. My brother has a new Moroccan girlfriend who's been cooking all kind of fabulous Moroccan meals for him. They're going to love this video.

    I can’t wait to try this recipe, I just got an induction stove top tagine . It is not clay, but I did a chicken and it did not crack.

    I made a chicken tagine tonight, and it was heavenly. (I had to order ras el hanout online, but it was worth it!) I used four types of dried fruit (prunes, raisins, dates, and apricots), as well as almonds. The fruit really does make all the difference; I love the sweetness it lends to the tagine. I ate it with couscous on the side.
    I'll have to get my hands on some lamb so I can make this version! Shukran, Blanche, for this recipe!

    Hi I don’t have a diffuser can I place a flat pan instead

    • @blanchetv
      @blanchetv  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      No it would overheat and cause the tagine to crack. The diffuser has holes in it. But, you can cook everything in a regular pot instead. If you need a diffuser they sell them online: www.amazon.com/gp/product/B000HM9ZSY/ref=as_li_tl?ie=UTF8&camp=1789&creative=9325&creativeASIN=B000HM9ZSY&linkCode=as2&tag=43720f-20&linkId=0a86b075d06f57e9da4beb557e0d27e8

    The link you have for Tagine is different from the one you are using. The tagine in video looks more authentic, can you please post the link for that too?
    Thanks

    • @blanchetv
      @blanchetv  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      The reason why I didn't post the link for the one I bought, is it actually cracked with me the first time I used it. They sent me another one thankfully. I didnt feel right recommending a tagine that cracked for my viewers, so I looked for one made with more sturdy material

    If I cook in regular pot do I have to still use the diffuser

    • @blanchetv
      @blanchetv  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      No need for a diffuser. I only used a diffuser because the tagine is made of clay, which cracks with direct heat.

      Yes after I wish the meat, I like to do a rinse with vinegar as well, then rinse off the vinegar afterwards.
