Thank you Jael for this. 2 years ago, I also decided to go ghost. I changed my number and only gave the new one to the people who mattered to me most which is my family. Moved out of the estate where i used to live and just went to an out of town setting where none of my "friends" could find me. Seven months ago, i also completely quit alcohol and clubbing. Fast forward, it's me, my wife and our 3 months old daughter, we are levelled up and are spending all the time we have together; happier, healthier, better financially (i am 28 now)...and i can't be more grateful for my decisions. You have to DECIDE and the younger you do the better!!
Hi Jail, you can preserve carrots after cleaning them and put them in a light polythene bag and tie it, you can just leave a small opening to use whenever you want to get some.
In Jamaica, we used carrots to make juice, and to add to our soups. In America, carrots are eaten as vegetables, add to salad, and to make carrot cake. I love carrot juice with ginger; it's healthy and refreshing. Just blend the carrots with the ginger, and put through a strainer then add some brown sugar.
Hi Jael,I think to preserve your carrots, other roots like potatoes, cassava, fruits and vegetables you might need to embark on building a "Root Cellar" remember when our parents would dig a small hole in the ground near the house to keep to roots like cassava and potatoes fresh for a few days to even a week, well, a root cellar which is simply a well built hole in the ground (look for videos in how to build a root cellar here in TH-cam and chose the most practical for you) that can store your harvest for months while still staying fresh because a root callar is built at least 3m underground that's way below the ground depth the roots grow so they stay fresh for month. Your future videos could be showing people how you built your "Root Cellar" for long term storage if your Harvest. Thanks, I'll be following.

The carrots look amazing! You really had a good crop. I shall try the vegetable pizza. I have been trying to eat more vegetables instead of starch, enough to make me feel full.
Hello Jael!! I am amazed by your videos and what you do! I am a coming up famer who believes in learning everyday. Thanks Soo much. About carrots you can store them in a polythene paper bag and throw them on the floor in the kitchen, mostly under a sink..
I usually wash the carrots, allow them to dry and then cur both ends, preserve them in parking bags any the zip ones would be better. Then keep them in the vege compartment in the fridge. They can last for more than a month. God bless you Jael. Thank you for the tips.
Trim the leaves, clean and let them dry completely under the shade then wrap tight in a plastic wrap, store in the fridge. It can last for 2 months or more. Another option you can share some with me😊
What a lovely carrot harvest! 👍 Harvesting is my best part of farming. Freezer method of preserving works well too. Wash... cut as desired... blanche for 5 mins... shock in ice water to preserve color, taste & nutrients then freeze and put in ziplock bags. Good for a year.
In America, it's called " egg foo young" by the chinese.I add bean sprouts and water chestnuts to mine or any type of shredded meat if you want.Yummy!! You can dilute a mild dish detergent ( in America, most use regular dawn for this lol) with water .And spray early mornings before the heat of the day and right before dawn. You may have to experiment with what amount of dosage is good for your crops.I use this solution for everything, but be careful using as I said in the heat of the day because plants can be burned.
Hi Jael. Love your videos. You can store your carrots in a tupperware container and put a serviette to cover them before you cover it and store in the fridge. This reduces the moisture that gets them to rot faster. They can stay fresh for over a month. If you are interested in the tupperware containers, I sell them and can have them delivered to you.
Wonderful harvest indeed.I love watching your videos actually i grew up in farms doing gardening in short mixed farming that my mum taught me . Feeling nostalgic already ❤❤. Yummy pizza 🍕.
