    Great detailed information, especially re: the geometry brackets. Loving my new AEV 2.5 lift!

      Thanks for watching! We hope this clarifies some of the benefits to the AEV lifts. The 2.5" is a great lift package. Most people say that their Jeep drives better than it did from the factory.

      After the install..Great ride on road and improved articulation on the good stuff. Well worth it.

      Would you say it's softer on the road & rides more comfortable than stock?

    Should you upgrade your front driveshaft?

    What would happen if you got a 2.5" lift but the upper CA were mounted in the 4.5" location?

  • @paulwilliams7874

    Do you recommend upgrading the front track bar as well? I have a 2015 rubicon and I am worried about death wobble after a lift so will this address that without a replacement?

    • @nuthouseindustriesllc
      @nuthouseindustriesllc  6 ปีที่แล้ว

      Paul Williams with a good 2.5” lift you should not need a new track bar. At the 3.5” lift you get a high steer bracket and a new track bar which will correct the geometry. On a 2015 you may have a worn out track bar and in that case a factory one will work just fine.

    Is there any brackets to adjust the the front track bar? Doesn't it need to be adjusted as well?

    • @nuthouseindustriesllc
      @nuthouseindustriesllc  5 ปีที่แล้ว

      The location change is so minimal on a 2.5 lift that the track bar does not need to be adjustable or relocated. Once you go to a 3.5-4-5 lift then you can flip the steering under and use a relocation bracket for the track bar

    Your video make a very big deal about the importance of the front control arm drop bracket, but the AEV 2.5 XT DualSport kit I see on your site (and all other sites I've searched) don't seem to include it. Is this part of the kit or not?

    • @nuthouseindustriesllc
      @nuthouseindustriesllc  7 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      BonnyDoonite Drop brackets aren’t 100% necessary on a 2.5” lift. AEV leaves them out of the packages kit to keep the price competitive with other lift kits. However you will regret not having them. It does return the geometry back to factory specs and makes for a smoother straighter ride. We always recommend installing the drop brackets with a 2.5” lift.

    So you have to purchase he geometry brackets separate correct?

    • @nuthouseindustriesllc
      @nuthouseindustriesllc  6 ปีที่แล้ว

      John Cookson on the 2.5” lift kit the geometry brackets need to be purchased separately. On the 3.5”and 4.5” they are included.

    Do you need to do anything with the rear axle? You see some lifts that the rear axle moves forward. Do you need to recenter it? With the 2.5 kit

    • @nuthouseindustriesllc
      @nuthouseindustriesllc  5 ปีที่แล้ว

      You don’t need to do anything to the rear, as far as adjustments. AEV provides a new rear track bar which adds exhaust clearance and correct relocation.

    I have the AEV 2.5 kit put on my 2016 Jeep Jk hard rock rubicon unlimited and all the sudden my rear right coil spring seems bent towards the front of the vehicle. And the rears seems like it’s sliding when I’m turning . Was wondering if that’s cause my turning to be sliding or sway . Also rocks side to side more going over bumps. Thanks

    • @nuthouseindustriesllc
      @nuthouseindustriesllc  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Shane, you may want to look to make sure coil springs are indexed/oriented correctly. The AEV coils have a specific index/orientation on the axle spring perch in their directions when installing. Also check to make sure the AEV supplied track bar and raise track bar mount with the 2.5" Lift was used and not the factory track bar. Do you have the AEV shocks supplied t=with the kit or another shock? AEV's springs and shocks are frequency tuned to play together nicely and another shock may not be optimal with the springs

    • @shaneverna8638
      @shaneverna8638 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      I got the AEV 2.5 suspension lift that comes with bilstein shocks an coil springs that are tuned together. Also the rear track bar an it is installed . I had it put in soon as I bought the jeep 2017 . Jeff Daniels Jeep put it in . Everything seems ok but the rear passenger spring seems to be leaning in towards the front of the vehicle. Hard to explain the drive feel . It’s like all 4 wheels are turn an just takes turns it slides. An it’s rocking more then usual . I noticed the whole Jeep is un level towards the leaning spring side . Thanks for the reply . I just put synergy tie rod an drag link on an had it aligned twice sn seems nobody can get my Jeep driving like it was . I’m doing some adjusting so I’ll keep you posted thanks again.

    Do the 2.5 lift kits now come with the geometry correction brackets

    • @nuthouseindustriesllc
      @nuthouseindustriesllc  7 ปีที่แล้ว

      The 2.5" does not come with the geometry brackets. However we recommend that you do add them to the lift kit. It will help with steering, braking, and tracking. The 3.5" and 4.5" do come with the Geometry relocation brackets.

    Looks great, what is your total height after lift ??

    • @nuthouseindustriesllc
      @nuthouseindustriesllc  6 ปีที่แล้ว

      Kris it is going to add about 2.5” of lift. There are a lot of factors that will go into the final height. It will depend on how heavy of a bumper you have, or if you have a winch, or if you have lots of gear in your jeep. With the 2.5” lift you can run up to a 35” tire

    Is it needed to add cam centric bolts to kit?

    • @nuthouseindustriesllc
      @nuthouseindustriesllc  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Not if you are using the Geometry relocation brackets, which we always use with the the AEV kits

    Would you recommend a steering stabilizer or anything else?

    • @nuthouseindustriesllc
      @nuthouseindustriesllc  7 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      We only recommend a factory steering stabilizer on the 2.5". Sometimes we upgrade to an Old Man Emu stabilizer. The AEV 3.5" and 4.5" lifts include the Old Man Emu steering stabilizer. You should never need "dual" stabilizers. Using two stabilizers to fix a driving problem is only masking the issue. The problem is still there and needs to be fixed.
      Thanks for watching! I hope this was helpful.
