it sucked, and you know it. It was hilarious to hear spidey's completely emotionless "yeah it was hilarious" in the discussion. You all sounded depressed AF when saying that it was supposedly a great episode. Just so you know: even though you're reactors, it's fine to say "this was disappointing" or just "yeah it was ok, but that's about it".
I totally understand if they weren't doing numbers and the RM reactions had to get cut from a busy streaming schedule, but I would have loved to see everyone's reaction to 7x5
I think it’s interesting how much emphasis they have put on relationships this season. Rick’s Friends, Jerry, and his former love interest Unity. This is definitely building to a pay off near the end of the season, possibly his inevitable confrontation with Rick Prime.
I don't get how Rick was in the wrong here ... He didn't want to answer calls from an ex who dumped and ghosted him .... What's wrong with that ? Also she came to earth like a creepy stalker and decided that she's going to basically cause a scene to get rick's attention ...... Wtf ? She didn't give Rick a single reason for him to trust her and then HE'S the bad guy for not trusting her ? This episode made the least sense to me .....
i mostly agree with you though i do think its something to consider that unity came back not because she missed rick and didnt care she was causing a scene but because she thought he was putting his life in danger. still doesnt make rick wrong for wanting to avenge his wife or cutting off an ex tho. therapist shouldnt have broke the cardinal sin.
@@clevernamerighthere9240 true that was the only reason why PPL were somewhat split here however I do think that wong didn't commit the cardinal sin because she was wrong .... So I guess this episode kind of confirms that unity’s true physical form is that blue alien president woman we saw. I think…maybe. but also, I understand why Rick was so upset, absolutely understandable, but I kind of wish that he and unity could’ve talked like unity wanted. It was kind of nice seeing someone else care about Rick.
@@stevennuic3020 Oh Yeah? what happened to her last boyfriend? I guess she messed up that one too. Shes not some perfect being. Rick had good reason to avoid her.
It's great that unity came genuinely to support/ help rick, it's what good people think to do, but personally if an ex and I don't leave the relationship on amicable terms, I think it's within my rights to want nothing to do with said person regardless of intention, just my opinion. I don't agree that either of them are wrong in their reactions
thank you, that makes complete sense to me. rick is an often selfish jerk but i dont like how this episode makes him out to be the wrong one. He has every right to refuse interaction with an ex. and the issue on earth came about because of her (and the presidents) actions. fixing it isn't some big favor to ask from rick, cause she had much fault in it.
I like how after being relaesed from the presidents control they all go back to doing the same mindless things, still a hivemind even though they were released.
The original Unity episode is one of the best Rick and Morty episodes there is. This one was bad. You can't even give a reason that made it good. "Hurr durr it was about therapy and mental health so good and deep!" 🤡
Funny, their broadcast of this show has slightly different dialogue. For example the losing a finger line "that's the price of surprise butt play" was different when I watched it they said "a**" instead. A few other small differences.
On the last video when Chris said it was gonna be the last one unless I got the views, I shit my pants. Appreciate y’all sticking with Rick and Morty because I’ve been with this show since 2012 and I fucking love it regardless of how weird the last few seasons have been.

I think its safe to say at this point that this season is just ok. It has some good elements but so far is seriously lacking in the comedy department. I like seeing Rick growing but everything surrounding that just isnt very funny. Its supposed to be a comedy first and foremost. Ive heard the rumours that Roiland wasnt super involved the past few seasons but maybe whatever input he did have was an X Factor that this season is missing. Im sure he still had his improv moments that are definitely not going to be there now. Its also incredibly strange how much Morty has been sidelined so far. The whole family really. Outside of Jerry in EP2 these have been almost entirely Rick focused.
I know he wouldnt have been involved with much of the writing since thats come out. But stuff like improv wouldnt have been planned out. Or throwing out some joke that ended up being the after credits scene perhaps (which have been noticeably awful and unfunny in episodes 1 and 3)@@Mister_Jay_Tee
@GregoryDM what's missing is character development. I liked the Rick and Summer scene but it was just glossed over for the rest of the episode. They also keep hinting towards canon without delivering on it. It's a cheap way to keep people interested. Idk why they're so hell bent on not doing canon when it's an opportunity for great storytelling
Yeah this episode was recycled garbage. The only good episode so far was episode 2. Going downhill without Roiland. The stab guy in the interdimensional cable was cringe. Its so weird feels like Rick and morty is unsuccessfully teying to copy Rick and Morty
