In today's video I am going to the store for the first time.

Oh, she's a beautiful pup. When I was growing up, just about the only dogs around were collies, shepherds and crosses of them. A rough collie was the mascot of my husband's highland regiment. I miss them. Such quiet spirits and playful attitudes. I think there was that awful trend to breeding their heads so pointed, and it really hurt the breed. It's nice to Miley with a nice deep (room for brains) head.
I think Collies are so beautiful. There used to be one in our neighbourhood, and he or she had the very long snout. I didn't realize that all Collies don't have that look because the one in our neighborhood was the only one I have seen in real life instead of photos. We also love Shelties for their breed temperament. They are playful and inquisitive but also gentle and sweet. Miley says hello!
She's a beautiful rough collie. Our boy Johnny is a tri-color and just turned 11 a few weeks ago.

Dogs become mellow and extra sweet as they age from what I have experienced. It’s a blessing to enjoy the senior years with your dog. Miley says hello!
Just a friendly reminder
Please get a seatbelt for your dog. It's like a classic seatbelt for humans but there's a carabine that you attach to your dog's harness to the back ring, you can buy the seatbelt for dogs with a harness or separately, your dog's current harness is ok to use. Don't use collar with seatbelt for dogs. It's because if you get into an accident the collar will break dog's spine. Especially if the impact sends the dog "flying".
I know that you probably don't expect to ride somewhere and get into an accident but sadly it happens, so be safe.
Also note in some countries is against laws to have a dog not seated and or have them in the front seat.
I am so grateful for your comment because I have not known how to navigate this. When Miley was a very small puppy we had a car seat that looks like a little box. She quickly outgrew it.
I have tried putting the seat belt through the handle on her harness, it’s a bit better. I didn’t know there is an adapter I can purchase that will function as a dog seatbelt. I will look and see what I can find. Thank you soooooo much for this tip. I really appreciate it. Of course, that will just be a shopping haul video in a future video too. lol! Anyway we got fined for driving around with not seated dog, so I thought that I would let you know, just in case that you're not aware :D
Good to know. I didn’t know it was also a ticketable offence. However I am more concerned with her safety. I did find seatbelts on Amazon. They are all disappointing with only one strap. I wish there was a design that would both click into the seat belt fastener as well as a second one to hook around the back/headrest of the seat. After all, we wear shoulder belts…I am surprised no one has invented a more thorough style, but anything is better than what we had going on before. 😀
Collie or sheltie?
Miley is a Sheltie. But the two breeds really do look so similar as puppies don’t they? I think the Rough Collie looks so lovely too.
