Not to worry. Beagles are totally gentle, smart and loving. For the most part, they will NEVER harm anyone or anything. My Beagle plays according to the size of critter he is playing with... including cats, squirrels, etc. He is so gentle with little dogs, but acts like he is a big dog with the big dogs. I didn't have to train him... it is a part of his character.
Gentle or not, it's never a good idea to let such a big dog play with such a little dog. Accidents happen. My friends chihuahua neck was broke when playing with a bigger dog. Super sad....

I once found an abandoned Beagle wandering along a state highway. He hopped right in my car and came home with me. He was a great dog for the 5+ years that we had him.

I have a pittie and my mom and dad have a little Brussels Griffon. My pittie is so gentle with her and they play together very well, it's just adorable.

I love all Lucy's moves. I'm well acquainted with all of them ,- the quick slide, the near Miss, the good fakes the bad fakes. She's got it all. She is so gentle but so playful and seriously wants to give that puppy a good time. . Can you tell I miss my boy Ivan? G

My sister's dog was the same way. My Yorkie (Cricket) bullied her Rottweiler-mix (Missy). The reason why is the Yorkie would come up under her dog belly where most dogs are vulnerable. The funny thing was, Cricket was a rescued senior with no teeth. So he could not have done any damage to Missy's undercarriage if he tried. 😂

Aww thank you Lucy was a beautiful dog unfortunately she passed away last summer! Mia is now 7 and is sitting beside me begging for popcorn!
