Imagine if the doll gets made into a sculptor S tier accessory that changes the balloon animation to the survivor being carried in Galatea's lap. Imagine-
Ok I'm gonna try and like type my thoughts out because "I'm the doll" is still confusing. So after Succubus's sister died, Monstrous Bird became 'new' again. She was also abandoned by Succubus's sister after she eloped with her lover. Most likely because their father was probably pretty controlling and had WAY too high of expectations on both of them... Thinking about it, there's a chance Succubus set her sister up as well, she's VERY crafty and knows how to get people to do what she wants. Or maybe shit just happened by coincidence, I have no clue but either way she was VERY happy about it. So what do the tatters represent for Bird? Loneliness? Being tossed aside?? Something like that, it kind of reflects in her story too. The girl in Bird's story was left alone and expected to just listen to directions, but was just set up to fail anyway and eaten up when the time was right. Succubus was the only one that appreciated her in some capacity.... Still they did say she was greedy, so I guess that translated to 'if I can't have it no one can' type of attitude... Which is probably why Bird was locked up in the first place. I think Succubus realized she was gonna get caught and wanted her doll to be put back in her case, perfectly preserved, where no one could tatter her again... Although thinking about it, Bird's costume is pretty torn up in places, her dress almost seems incomplete. Which is weird, given that Succubus is definitely a seamstress. Man Succubus is fucked up. This event isn't Golden Rose, but it's definitely fun.
Yeah its confusing to me too. My brain can't get the pieces together of what it means that Monstrous Bird is the doll in that story? It's really confusing. Also Succubus was greedy and wanted it all to herself but didn't seem distressed that she got caught almost if she wanted to be caught...? Golden Rose was definitely more fun but okay.
@@cherrypwps listen I miss Golden Rose as much as the next guy but there’s no end to this sentence, I miss Kroto and Ronald of Ness DEARLY, they are two of my favorite skins in this game aside from Trickster. ANYWAY. Yeah she… seemed weirdly at peace with getting captured, you’re right. Did she have some sort of goal or was it because of that “favor” Inference did without knowing? …. Wait wait wait, DM is supposed to be the James Moriarty to Inference’s Sherlock Holmes. Do you think there’s a chance Succubus thought he was going to kill her because of the deals and decided it would be better to get jailed?? Like *that* was the favor that Inference had done?? No that seems like. Kind of a stretch, maybe? Ugh I wish they had Epilogues for the skins like they did with Golden Rose, those helped clear things up SO MUCH.
@@eevee2Glacia Yes, a lot of things were left unexplained which is why i prefer Golden Rose where we had it all on the plate really but i suppose that now you have to actually get in detective mode. I forgot about the favor she mentioned at the end. :"0 Like, he caught her, what kind of favor is that? Maybe what she wanted was not the art deals, but then why kill the two? And the fact she didn't go to prison but to a mental hospital. I think that's unlikely, D.M. has no bussines killing Succubus and it didn't really seem like it either way. D.M. was a neutral party here overall. However, I gave it some thought and my theory is that Succubus has some kind of mental disability obviously from her childhood. She saw her doll in Bird and given her greed wanted her for herself, in a weird way? And the two other killings weren't for the art deals but just as a distraction. She wanted to be caught. Was the favor getting to the bottom of the two murders? I have no idea. She saw something in Monstrous Bird and obviously wanted it given that she didn't just kill her but hatch her in that room. She is also eventually going to get out of the asylum, i assume because it's as if it's not her first time there, that's how Inference said she seemed. Also she's mega rich apparently. That's really all I could think of. Maybe we will get some answers in next year's anniversary event? I don't know but I hate the fact we're left with no concrete answers. :| The story really promised in the beginning but this end has me so disappointed, but hey at least the skins are beautiful?:D
Netease did say they were going to focus on the story a bit more a few months back, so hopefully we will get another event like this before the next anniversary comes, which is unlikely. Mr. Inference already had some suspicions that the story is still not quite complete. My biggest question is about Monstrous Bird. We don't know if the girl in the story that she told was actually her or not. Maybe the girl in Monstrous Bird's cage story was just fictional and Bird is really Succubus's doll. Then, the timeline makes a bit more sense (since now we don't have to worry about how the doll could have been the girl in Bird's story). When watching the anniversary song, I was wondering why Succubus calls Bird "naughty princess". Now, it finally clicks since it is revealed that Monstrous Bird is the doll. Also, when Succubus says "My naughty princess, thank you for coming/And now the last one", it probably represents Monstrous Bird going to the meeting place and being Succubus's final victim. Like in the song, Bird was most likely trying to run away or disobeying the greedy seamstress. So, Succubus traps the bird and returns it back to its cage. The only person who told a true story about themself is probably Succubus, since hers was told in first person. her skin description also adds more mystery and confusion. In the game, she narrates, "After my father gave the doll to that girl, he said to me 'You don't need two dolls. Greed is the root of all corruption.' He was right. However, how can he, in his mediocrity, decide which one I want more?" Although this may be just some small excerpt, it most likely sums up why Succubus killed the other two. There is also the presence of another doll.... She seems to have complications with her father, too, almost looking down on him since he betrayed her. The event also included a small detail that most might have missed: Succubus was sent to a mental asylum reserved for the wealthy dealing with sensitive familial issues. It could be important, and it also could not--all this thinking is part of the game, Succubus's game. What also makes me wary is the last line of the song "And now whose turn?" There is definitely more to the story; we will just have to wait and see.... Side Note: I find it weird how Succubus is named "Succubus" while the victims have names that are connected to their stories. The only other two people whose names are disconnected from everything are Mr. Inference and D.M., who have appeared previously in the story (I believe). So, this could imply that Succubus will have further ties to the plot as well.
Strange, it's almost like the doll is cursed, whoever ruins the doll will experience bad luck and when they perish, their life force will fix the doll. The sculptor who once owned the doll probably committed suicide because he must've messed up the doll in some way and as a result, got so unlucky that he couldn't take it anymore.
What was the whole story about? I mean the whole story of prince, rainmaker, succubus girl and monstrous bird? What did the monstrous bird mean that she was the doll? Or why did succubus girl wanted to kill the three of them?
(Spoilers obviously) Succubus wanted to trade art with D.M (just like all the others visits), her requests were probably all of the items available to trade, D.M refused her request, he said to Mr. Interference "she was too greedy". But there were some kinda of "but" in the trades' rules, which would be that if the previous "winner" of the trade died, the trade offer would be passed to the next trader, so she kills (or more like, she sent her servant to do it) both Michiko and Victor (that both got accepted trades) to get their trade offers
Ok so the story is pretty clear to me, that the doll took the souls of those who died to fix itself or something along those lines but I'm still stumped on what the Monstrous Bird says about the story afterwards-
Okay, so this is my personal theory They said the doll is found in the estate of a sculptor who committed su*cide. Maybe in this story, Leo was the sculptor who died and Bird, his daughter, was put under Succubus' family care. The sister is closer to Bird while Succubus didn't have much contact with her because her father forbid it. Since Bird is the daughter of a talented sculptor, it's likely that she inherited the sculpting talent. Maybe the sister stole her talent and inspirations, which is why the sister lose her creativity when she eloped and leaves bird behind (before, the doll was shown beside her when she's sculpting a masterpiece). When the sister died, bird feels devastated and lonely (see the tattered doll). Succubus picked her up when she's at her lowest point and comforted her, making herself look like a savior in Bird's eyes (the doll was pristine again). Bird was finally in her grasp. Knowing succubus' character, she probably took part in a scheme that leads to her sister's death, all so she can get her hands on Bird. She's greedy, she wants Bird's talent all to herself. That's why she giggled when holding the doll after her sister's death Now let's connect this with Emma's story: In the story, Bird was all alone (after her father's death) with nowhere to go until she found the mysterious manor (Succubus' family). She was controlled like a doll who do as she's told (feeding birds as instructed). She was kept in the dark and told to never open the cage (to never interact with Succubus). When she did open it, thunder flashed and she sees a monstrous bird inside the cage (Succubus shows her true nature). Bird finally knows what kind of monster succubus is Now connect it with the event at D.M.'s manor: If the person who strikes the deal dies, the deal gets passed to the next dealer. Greedy Succubus was sabotaging the deal by killing them to get all the items. After Succubus killed rain maker and prince, she silenced Bird because Bird would know she's the killer right away All in all, this event is cool, the voice acting is awesome, and the art is great! 10/10
