I think that Hastur was upset with the sacrifice and made the cultists disappear, which meant there was no one to clean up afterwards, resulting in the plantation catching on fire, which was then put out by locals. If the sacrifice wasn’t successful, then Volcker possibly got turned into a snake by Yidhra. Also, I think Yidhra’s ultimate goal was to turn all of them into her followers. Also, I really like this vid and it is one of the only ones i watched to the end

Thank you so much for this! I’ve been looking for a video about dream witch’s lore because she’s my favorite character in idv and probably my favorite character ever. This was so fascinating to learn about! I also realized just how many similarities yidhra has with Kawakami Tomie, and that’s probably why dream witch got the skin for Tomie.

I don’t really hate disney but I hate how they make it seem like fairy tales were invented by them and them only to the point that copyright laws apply to almost anything that’s interesting....... I remember reading a rapunzel book years ago where there was an illustration where she isn’t in the tower and some keep kept yelling at everyone I was reading a fake boom like wtf? Also now everyone associates fairy tales with disney characters and it is so annoying, anyways this Yidhra explanation is cool I love the amount of effort put into this video
another absolutely banger of an analysis, this made me really appreciate her sm more goddamn.... just a little note, luchino's name is pronounced like "lew-key-no", not "lew-chee-no". his name is italian and in italian that sound is more harsh than english!

Based on my personal research, I belive that Geisha us actually the one truely based on Madame Yi. Geisha's Second Mode with the mask isn't the same but under it is a cracked mask which seems to imply that her false disguise was slowly being lost. Plus she shares the same red black and white with Michiko, even if she only has the red/black dress and makeup to match. She even has the same razor sharp fingernails in that specific form. I may add more on top of this but I can't access my notes right now.

Lol it's me I know I'm trash but you got to get footage somehow, rip. That's one nice thing about survivor videos I don't actually have to do much I can just record myself decoding and boom background footage, but for hunters I actually got a try. It's not an issue for mad eyes cuz I simp him - literally any other hunter that's not him I'm trash 😔✊

One of my personal headcanons is that the Spawn Follower is a human girl who was didn’t strike a deal for harvest-she was nearly murdered by a robber in her family’s home. She lost consciousness due to blood loss and meet Yidhra disguised as Madame Yi. Yi offered her survival and being a literal child terrified to die, Yima accepted. Yidhra now keeps her close as some sort of “experiment”-how far from humanity can she bring this young girl?
Of course, Yima fucking despises her. It probably doesn’t align with canon but. Eh. The other followers have a dislike for Yima as her closeness to Yidhra is seen as favoritism.

(I know it´s irrelevant, but i feel kinda flatered how im indirectly involved on this video, maybe it´s Yidhra doing after all.) @@FernFeathers i don't work there lol, i just worked on Yidhra page anonymously, cuz it was a stub back then and she's my favorite character
So i did her some justice. Im happy you guys apreciate that, i did a research on the Yidhra of the H.P Lovecraft mythos and Yidhra on the game to edit that page. (Also, i always knew Yidhra was inspired on Karla Turcker but if i'm honest with you, i think the devs only said that to evade some drama, she really don't look nothing like that killer.)

The only thing clearly i know from her is that she didn't need sacrifices and anyone could became her follower by sacrifice themselves, so the followers from her are sacrificed girls
47:23 small nitpick (love the video otherwise!) but giraffes actually have long necks for fighting! They fight over mates by slapping eachother with their necks and the longer the neck is, the more force behind the hit. The giraffe that wins gets to mate and thus the trait of a longer neck is passed down to offspring (:
Dang, I didn’t know the idv lore was so detailed! I knew all the story stuff about Orpheus and the characters but WHOLE OTHER DIMENSIONS? And two new main characters that I didn’t even know existed?? idv is never gonna be the same.

the lore on the willingness of yidhra's followers seems to vary and is inconsistent to be honest. there are certain aspects of her lore that, along w her own deduction quotes pretty much outright say that being her servant is a choice that the followers make on their own (she is also portrayed as very maternal at points in her own og lore), but there are other aspects of her lore that seem to imply the followers are suffering in certain ways. it seems to me that the cultists willingly join her, but once they are bound with her she does whatever she pleases with them, which likely involves certain types of torment
