Nice work. That collector looks great. If I can make a suggestion,... you should get one of those dryer dampers and install it on the "hot air in" hole. Then when the system shuts off the damper will close and prevent a reverse flow of air, cooling off the space prematurely. No cold air will come out the bottom because no air can go in the top. I think I said that right :) Being as how that space is just a "fort" it may not really matter to you, but I'm just saying.... Nice work man!
Just a suggestion, you should put the fan on the outlet instead of the inlet. The fan itself will warm some of the air passing over it. Also keeping the temperature difference greater with allow for better airflow. Nice video, very impressive for its simplicity.
@GATORFOOT166 I actually purchased a bunch of mirrors that i will use to melt the snow in each of our yards. Early gardening for us my friend! .... lol
@pinetar100 Thanks! My heater is one of the smallest i have seen, the size was restricted by the amount of recycled wood i was able to get for free. If i was to build another one i would definitely make the surface area a hell of a lot bigger. Let me know if you decide to make one, i can let you know all the stuff i would have done differently.
