No average Joe is entitled to $5000 a day for just being alive. I think you are primarily preaching to the choir though, I invested in a toy business that went bankrupt, and in a perfectly fair world, I would get my investment back, but we all know the difference between what is ideal and what is reality. The American dream used to be having a job that they enjoy, get paid enough to live well for themselves and their family, and have enough free time to spend with family and hobbies. Nowadays though, the American dream is shifting towards getting enough alimony, child support and disability checks and etc. to do those things without having any employment at all. I have to applaud TH-camrs though, successful and unsuccessful, because they are chasing the original American dream. Even if a TH-camr is getting some kind of supplemental income, at least they still want that financial independence. Not trying is guaranteed to give you no results, but if you're working on something at all, at least there is that possibility of being successful. TH-cam is extraordinarily cutthroat, commercial entertainment of any kind draws all sorts of critics, but on TH-cam, there are very little people here that have taken classes in filmography or acting. So, you find some successful people here, but an awful lot of people who are not successful... Yet. I'm sure some channels can turn themselves around, but many won't.
