that's literally me... I have komplete 13, piano in blue, and many others... and I still cannot seem to find THE Perfect piano for me... and then you know Native Instruments keeps coming out with more Like the Noir, which was also really nice... and then this one is on sale today.... soo.....

The "problem" with Heavyocity is that their instruments are so unique in the way they sound that eventually you will end up buying your 56th piano library.......

ASCEND is a beautiful instrument, the piano with e-bow beneath it has a majestic quality similar to subtly sustaining church organ when holding the piano notes, this effect further shines with a great reverb, such as Eventide Blackhole.

Aaaaaaabsolutely love this library, but holy hell it can eat my already beefy cpu due to the number of voices used in Kontakt. Any programming updates on the horizon to make it a bit more friendly? I often have to choose another piano cause I'm not a huge fan of freezing my tracks and I usually love having this as my go to simply cause it sounds so damn good
Have purchased Ascend. I'm not quite getting that awesome sound from the Heavyocity - ASCEND - Preset Playthrough. The first patch played 'Ascended Soft Wash Ambience' is incredible! Is there some additional processing for the video version? I can't reproduce it exactly....just wondering? My version plays quite a bit flatter.
What you need to do, to get the same attack...if you play on a native instruments Komplete Kontrol S keyboard....put the Veloticy on Soft 3, and there you go!

for the soft wash ambience tone why I don't have the same thiccness? xD is it mastering?
Is there any information on how many velocity layers per key are in this piano?
The Concert D piano was recorded with 18 different dynamic layers per note (in addition to different microphone positions).
Additionally, we recorded a pass of "ppp" piano that you can load as an alternate option for a more-intimate sound.
Does anyone know the name of the piece that played with the Concert D presets? 0:33

I know this seem like a stupid question but do you have to play the piano to use this. I can get a tune from a keyboard but in no way am I a pianist!
Hey Peter, you don’t necessarily need to be a pianist, as ASCEND can be mapped to any Kontakt-compatible midi controller.
The best piano library to ponder about and why I sold my Korg Kronos story! And I don't regret it!

Noire has a better sound.
Why replace? NI Noire is amazing. Utilize both.
Noire wins by a landslide.. Demos here are processed, very far from what you get straight out the box.. Quite tricky advertisement@@tiko2778
