Antarctica Campaign was definitely the best shadow slave arc for me. Loved the military stuff , Sunny’s character growth. Sunny finally getting recognition and was key in dealing with 4 of the main disasters… also the sun of solace voice that was doubting him saying stuff like he’s weak and he’ll let everyone die, that was so good tio
Don’t feel bad about have longer content especially on Shadow Slave. I was enjoying listening to your review and actually felt sad it ended quickly. There isn’t enough content on that masterpiece. Good take.
The thing about shadows and darkness is that shadows aren't just dark. If you hold your hand up to the light, you can see the shadow, but you can see the wall behind it. Darkness is something where there is no light at all. This is very poetic as it refers to Nephis. She provides the light that keeps Sunny from being swallowed up by the darkness.
easily my favourite arc. Sunny's development capitalises on the first 800 chapters and man does it deliver. I think the forgotten shore is comfortably second place and as incredibly unique, surprising, and honestly despite how daring that arc was, the writing really just can't be compared to Antartica. Watching him find his conviction got me emotional too man it became more than just a webnovel this arc. The devil of antartica is the best webnovel character.
@@MohanKdubey I do like it when authors change up the pacing. The surroundings and the lore are super creative this time and I usually really like the slower pacing. But man it’s been real slow so far, at least I regret not stacking much more. It doesn’t help there was so much more pressing stuff in the waking world. Still the best start of the 3 I agree
@@kazuchad2948I agree the only complaint I have so far is that he is kind of describing too much and plot sometimes moves very slowly. About saint and true darkness, here's the difference between the three of them ; light, darkness and shadow Light and dark are two elements, while shadow exists only in the absence of light- the moment darkness takes over, even shadows stop existing. You can say that light and shadow coexist, since shadow can only exist if there's light. the absence of darkness is still darkness, or simply void, while the absence of light is, naturally, a shadow, maybe because of an obstacle or else, but that's not always the case. take as an example the tunnel they had to pass through to reach falcon scott, absence of light, normally it should be full of shadows, instead, sunny instantly noted something- even if he could see in the dark, he couldn't see past a certain point.. it was like he lost that ability. i don't remember in which chapter exactly he made that observation, but i'm sure he did. which means that darkness and shadows are two different things, darkness is an element, just like light is an element, but shadow is something that only exists when both of these elements aren't present. edit : also yes, "fear the shadows" it's just another, but cooler way of saying "watch your back", but this time he can't really, i mean, what's he gonna do, fear his own shadow?... wait.. damn. i don't envy him.

@@diamon-yr4jd Kim aspect correct Sam aspect has to do with charging stuff up with essence Luster you are right Quintin restore and corrode and tank Belle make himself phase and sharper weapon Dorn ability has to do with gravity increasing it or decreasing it
RE the shadow vs. darkness attributes, G3 explains that the difference is that instead of it being just darkness in the sense of absence of light it's a true elemental darkness, kind of like how you have light from any old light source or elemental light magic. I feel like shadows take aspects of both because they're the absence of light but also need some kind of light to cast them, it's much cooler than elemental darkness or elemental light IMO
i guess they are tryna make darkness its own entity, like if you want shadow you take the light away but if you want darkness you have to actively produce it i guess. so shadow and light are kinda together with the whole "the brightest light has the darkest shadow" but darkness and light are like fire and water.

Shadows are also the absence of light tho
