I haven’t been up there for years now, I remember that old tunnel at Waterloo it used to be known as whisky arches and led to a market street. So pleased to see that you were all able to visit your Dad at Christmas, he must have been so thrilled to see you all. Happy 2022 to you. 😊
Stayed at the County Hall in 2008. Our hotel room was charming. We had tea in the Library room. County Hall is a convenient location when visiting London.
Nicki, the Exmouth Christmas Day swim was cancelled again this year because lifeguards couldn't be guaranteed on the day. But it went ahead in a mini format!!!! made me smile :) HNY to you and all your family :)

Nice to see Big Ben reemerging, the last time I was in London was in August 2017 and the scaffolding was going up the very day we got there. There is an inside joke between my friends that no matter where we travel something we really wanted to see was under construction and that it was only when I was with so it was my fault.

Yum! Smoked salmon is one of the best tastes I've ever had! Used to make a special stop at the Fish House in Key Largo on our way to Key West just for the smoked fish, both coming and going.
We were close, we moved from Germany to London 6 months ago for my husband's job, and over Christmas my parents were able to visit. We took them around and I also told them how lucky they got here after the Big Ben has become partially visible
