A few months ago I replaced the chain on my mountain bike, which required removing the unnecessary links from the store-bought length. I put the extra 6 or 7 links on my desk and instantly found it to be a fantastic fidget toy. The smooth rounded edges feel great to pass through and around your fingers, plus it has a certain amount of flex so you can make spirals and stuff. From the factory it's coated in some thin wax but it only takes a couple days for this to wear off. I suppose you could also wash it with alcohol.
this is a really awesome project. i suffer from adhd and i literally cannot sit still. fidgeting helps keep my mind on the task at hand and with toys like this i can stay out of trouble at school. thanks 😄

Just some critical feedback. You missed a step on the bike chain flip fidgets where you link the two rings together so the pattern can flip through. On the other ones, Spinners are great and really popular right now, but holding things together with hot glue is not going to work. They will be dropped, a lot and that will break off easily. Check out other designs that are held together with zip ties. Little more crash resistant.
Hey kipkay I have an idea for a project. Could you build a plasma speaker. I saw it done once but I don't understand anything he was saying but i think you could make it easier of a project
