Listening to this and taking copious notes on a Saturday nite before leading tomorrow morning!- our worship pastor is out of town this week!

Since you encouraged us to open our worship session with scripture reading I have been doing so with scriptures from Psalms sometimes reading an entire Psalm and it has been very helpful to me. I get excited reading about who God is and what He has done and Im better able to encourage the people to worship, also along with keeping in mind that we're responding to who God is (great encouragement). Thanks for sharing.

I have started to do this each Sunday, but I have to keep it short, because we read a longish Bible reading that relates to the talk later in the service. I tend to read a short part of a psalm and explain an aspect of worship that is in that particular reading. Last week, I taught the church, that worship is a response to what God has done - that was received well - wonder where I heard that!😅

I take words out of the song that we're about to sing as a lead in.

You could even look up the scriptures that the songs are based on and read that outloud before making the link with the lyrics. Something I've learned is that there's nothing more powerful than the Living Word of God. Happy leading!

Hello, I am very blessed and inspired by this video ( is that the right way to call this amazing resource? ). What church are you serving? English is not my first language but I am leading an English speaking group ( Youth ) so find hard time prayinig in English. Can you introduce me some helpful resources or TH-cam channels through which I can learn to pray? Thank God for using you so wonderfully.

@@LeadingWorshipWell i get the feeling sometimes we take ourselves too seriously…..there is a line where we can exude joy from the Lord….so long we point back to Him and glorify Him

@@rihraw I think you might find this seminar on worship very interesting from John Piper - Gravity and Gladness - th-cam.com/video/cS4QA_DoC88/w-d-xo.html. It's long but well worth the watch!

I tell chat gbt what my first song is going to be and what the theme of the message is going to be, and then ask it for an opening statement… 😂.
Actually, I don’t do that, but I have tried it for ideas… you might just be amazed
