I'm always wishing that if the assassination of his father failed or was at least delayed, Tsar Nicholas II would've been a fantastic ruler. Without proper training he was put in charge of one of the largest Empires in history, filled with internal turmoil. With more training he could have at least kept the Bolsheviks from winning and the whole world would be better for it. Maybe even re-empowering the Duma and making Russia a constitutional monarch, one which could have helped the Allies win WWII earlier. There are so many possibilities but every scenario in which the filthy Bolsheviks loose the Civil War is better than what actually happened. :(
