Hi friends, in this video I am trying to make a high-power power amplifier.
This amplifier consists of 2 channels (stereo), each channel uses 5 pairs of final transistors (2SC3858 & 2SA1494). For the power supply I use a 20A toroidal transformer with a main voltage of 55V CT 55V and 8 pieces 10000uF/80V capacitor. The cost of making this amplifier is about $240.

I see a problem with the electrical connection of the housing part, it may cause grounding and shielding problems.

nicely built and very clean.. but if Im going to service or repair this, I might get a headache since wires are almost all in black, may take some time to trace.. but still nicely done..

With the transformer you use I guess you can get 360W RMS at 8 ohms...
It would be cheaper if you use Toshiba TTC5200. Unless if you want to drive a 2 ohm load...
so if i use sanken transistor it could handle 2 ohm load?

I don't think rubycon make those yellow capacitors... Especially not with little boxes.
I was just going to comment I've never seen boxes of 2 of any cap just loose or bagged by tandy or whoever.
@@johnharris6589 I also never seen any Japanese caps put where they were made so boldly on the capacitor. Usually they note where they were made on the bulk bags... I have bought some from Nichicon and Elna, their 100-200pcs bulk bag are not too expensive.

that case earth connection is - less than ideal
Although he has CE and WEE markings on the board, that would make it not compliant - the fastener used for an earth connection has to be one that's used only for that purpose, and not used for the attachment of any other component.
