    This is easily the best looking of all the new full size trucks. Very handsome and stylish. And now with weight saving aluminum and all that. Nice job ford!

      @MrPumpMan 10 ปีที่แล้ว

      Is it really the best looking? That tailgate is butt ugly. The side view hasn't really come in with anything that new. The front end is a little too massive even though it is much better over their postage stamp grill with that ugly brace and bar design. I like Ford Trucks but I haven't liked the front design and in fact it was that design that broke the deal and made me go from Ford to Dodge Ram in 2010. The Ram is a better truck dollar for dollar with a much better Heavy Duty Truck with the Cummins Diesel.

      It is beautiful hands down!

    • @bliglum
      @bliglum 10 ปีที่แล้ว

      Scott Rozell Yeah, the Ram has been the best looking since the trend setting 90's big rig style.. But like your opinion on the F150's side view, I feel like the Ram as a whole hasn't come in with anything new for quite some time. And the Ram's Cummins is the best of the Diesels, but I've heard their transmissions are not quite as strong.

      Id have to agree Ford is doing a better job in the evolution department. Dodge is somewhat still stuck on the big rig look...and Chevy well we wont talk about them. They are still stuck in the past....

    • @MrPumpMan
      @MrPumpMan 10 ปีที่แล้ว

      I don't think I would have considered the Ram before 2010. The whole Dodge Ram truck line was redone that year and the improvements were significant. Since 2010 The Ram is not even the same truck it had been. Coil link suspension with air ride is class leading. The new Eco-diesel that should be hitting the showrooms about now will be class exclusive for now with the other US truck makers reported soon to follow. Interior fit and finish and style with the Longhorn and Limited package are best in class. Ford has answered back with this new 2015. The bar has been raised. One thing that I'm interested to see is how insurance companies will view the new Ford design and if it will come into play with insurance rates. Body shops will have to get up to date with the new build materials that Ford will introduce. Will it be more expensive to repair after a collision? We shall see.

    This is why they've been King for so long. The new Chevy stayed the same(again). Ford keeps moving forward, and now within just 17 years, has So many more options, for so many folks. Dodge may actually catch Chevy if they keep up what they are doing, but that is yet to be seen.

    Been waiting on this truck. Still driving my 2003 FX4, which has been the best truck I've ever had! I use the truck to help the husband in our 4 farm beef cattle business, but like it best because I feel safer when I have the grands or other family with me on a trip. The only 2 small complaints I've had...that at 5'3", the seat belt his my collarbone/cheek...and that I had little visibility when trying to pull out in traffic, when turning to my right side. Well, sounds like both situations are taken care of with this truck! PLEASE though, make the keyless entry and the come-to-me pedals standard in your trucks! One saves me LOTS of money, lol!, and the other means no readjusting mirrors when someone else drives my truck! Thanks for a product I love!!! ALWAYS this truck for me!!!

    Nice to see that GM secured a contract for aluminum and in 2018 will be going aluminum as well to shed weight. Times certainly are changing and for the better. Advanced driving dynamics and tons of useful features for the many reasons one gets a truck, they certainly aren't just for work but that and much more...

    Damn! coming from a Ram guy, i am pretty impressed with this new F-150. The styling has improved so much over the current model and the structure and weight of it are also considerably improved. Before this was shown, nothing competed with the Ram 1500 in the styling department, not the hideous f-150, or the boxy silverado and especially the dated titan or familiar new tundra. It'll finally give the Ram a serious competitor.

    For everyone saying it looks like this truck or this one all trucks resemble each other in more than one way and all companies compare trucks and take design cues from one another. All trucks have more than one thing in common put ford chevy ram Toyota next to each other and look at them carefully they all have more then one thing in common.

    Looks is a personal opinion, I like the looks but most importantly this truck is totally blowing me away, the 2012 F-150 with 3.5 ecoboost v6 had 0-60 time of around 6 s, with 700 lb less I think its going to hit 60 within 5s and fuel economy of 2012 model in real world averaged between 10-12 mpg on normal drive 3-4 mpg with full load and 16-20 with super efficient drive ,3.5 EB this one will have all those numbers rising 20-30% and that means F-150 is the Emperor of trucks, all other Dukes Toyota,Chevy,Dodge can stay back and watch

    • @Ford_Raptor_R_720hp_V8
      @Ford_Raptor_R_720hp_V8 10 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Yea and a $1000 will add 50hp and 80tq because Ford tunes it for 87 octane.

    • @1989rs500
      @1989rs500 10 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Yes also the 2.7 ecoboost used for Baja 1000 was tuned for 380 hp and a whopping 420 ft pound just @ 1900 rpm that means oodles of low end torque and its even more powerful than the 3.5 ecoboost v6 which incidentally is a 1st gen ecoboost,
      Actually Ford says the 2nd gen ecoboost twin turbo can be easily tuned upto 540 hp @6500 rpm and 480 ft pound @ 3000 rpm much like Nismo godzillas v6 but in the interest of fuel economy Ford is just providing the basic tunes for customers, Hope Ford makes a GT car with Al chassis an 3.5 tt EB and thats the 1 I am dreaming 4 as of now

    • @ChuckBeefOG
      @ChuckBeefOG 10 ปีที่แล้ว

      Yeah I completely make up shit all the time too. If you think 0-60 even matters when looking into trucks, you don't need one. Hop back in your Focus and fuck off back to Bullshitville.

    • @1989rs500
      @1989rs500 10 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      Fuck off, America is worlds biggest consumer of gasoline after The UAE,U guys still dont wanna learn from others,U guys think U guys are best, in reality U guys are immersed in SHIT,Atleast Ford is ready to compete with Germans and Italians and give cars that have better acceleration/TORQUE/ride/handling/solid built/cabin insulation/better technology
      Now why I emphasize 0-60 cuz its just the basic level of performance any layman can point 2, and Ford achieves better 0-60 with small v6 and that shud b appreciated cuz with trucks bhp is not that matters,what matters is TORQUE and the 3.5 and 2.7 have torque that competitions 4.5+ litre engines have that 2 lower in the rpm range
      Ford is moving in rite direction,downsize engines,try make better mpg figures without loss of Power,whats wrong with it DCK HEAD

    • @chodelee1049
      @chodelee1049 10 ปีที่แล้ว

      Personally I think they need to just discontinue that eco boost. It is causing a lot of issues and isn't any faster and hardly more fuel efficient than the 5.0 coyote. That is one solid engine that will last. That eco boost will continue to have more and more issues. Plus hey its a V-8 baby.

  • @2013FiveOh
    @2013FiveOh 10 ปีที่แล้ว +10

    Why is everyone knocking Dodge? Lol. Yes Ford is on top, what do you expect from the original manufacturer of "the pickup truck" but Dodge is second IMO, their trucks feel more solid than chevys and have alot more character than other trucks, and generally speaking, Ford and Mopar have ALWAYS build very tough vehicles, not so true for chevy or Nissan, Toyotas tend to last a very long time but I wouldn't personally buy one over a F-150 or hemi Ram.

I've owned quite a few classic mopars and driven cars like the SRT-4, hemi ram and test drove a 6.1 hemi challenger and a 392 hemi challenger, they're all solid vehicles, especially compared to Chevy (I grew up working on GM's, do yourself a favor, stay away from GM's - i'll explain if you want but its going to be a long post)

The rounded chevys and fords didn't make you do that. I liked my bronco best and that was boxy as hell. This just looks weird. My favorite truck is the 1995-1999 Silverado. 88tcoupe most truck guys want their truck to look like there from America or at least this world. This looks some sci-fi (ugly) concept Nissan or someone would make.

    All of the "improvements" in aerodynamics and technology that Ford has made for 2015 are ideas that the 2013-2014 Ram 1500 has already done. Excluding the aluminum frame, which is impressive in it's own rite.

    • @thevinceberry
      @thevinceberry 10 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      actually everyone is using it but no one is using it in trucks or heavy-duty vehicles, they have to worry about cost since using high strength aluminum can be expensive on a $50,000 truck

      Kenworth, Peterbuilt, Freightliner, Volvo, and even International are now using aluminium extensively in there commercial vehicles. Yes the investment is huge but the return in customers happy about the weight and fuel economy are worth the investment. Its good to see ford steeping up on a light truck, hopefully soon we will see aluminium in F250-350-450-550 soon.

    Torque News
    The New 2.7L EcoBoost V6 Will Make the 2015 Ford F150 the Most Efficient Truck in the US
    Autos.ca is reporting that a new, 2.7-liter, twin-turbocharged V6 could find its way into the lighter, aluminum-intensive truck. The new engine supposedly makes use of asymmetrical turbos to generate 320 horsepower and 370 pound-feet of torque - substantially more impressive numbers than the current 3.7-liter base engine's 302 ponies and 278 lb-ft - while offering improved fuel economy and emissions.

      DETROIT (AP) - General Motors is recalling more than 1.5 million vehicles, including SUVs, vans and Cadillacs, for defective air bags and other problems.
      The new recalls come as GM faces multiple investigations over its handling of a recall of more than 1.6 million small cars for defective ignition switches. The new recalls aren't related to that issue, but the company did say they're part of a broad product safety review prompted by the ignition switch problem, which is linked to 12 deaths.
      GM expects to spend approximately $300 million in the first quarter to repair the vehicles in the new recalls as well as the vehicles in the small car recall. GM announced last month that ignition switches in older models of the Chevrolet Cobalt, Pontiac G5s, Saturn Ion, Chevrolet HHR, Pontiac Solstice and Saturn Sky need to be repaired.

    That truck no longer look like a Ford and more like a full size Toyota to me. The major change on this truck is the body which is Aluminum, and the new tailgate design. The grill is ugly and remind me of a Toyota, and the bed lights remind me of a GM option on their 2014 model trucks. I hope the new Ford is much quieter because the previous models are noisy. I like the idea of beefing up the frame design more and the tailgate. I thought you all would copy after GM on the bed step as it is easier.

      The tundra is a ripoff of the F-150 and Chevy 1500. All the design of the tundra can be seen in older Ford and Chevy trucks. Hell even Chevy is starting to take cues from Ford on design. And dodge is lost somewhere in this mess.

    • @zimks
      @zimks 10 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Andrew Mazurek how have chevy taken cues from ford! The new ones look completely different. The tundra came out in like 2007 with the now almost identical grill as ford came out in with these new 2015

      Nickolas Little You telling me that a truck body does not need strength? Airplanes such as the B747 is made of aluminum, even in areas where strength is a key factor.

    • @afghanastan100
      @afghanastan100 10 ปีที่แล้ว

      Mauricio Castro Noooo, you're sounding dumb. Read my comment. Aluminum is not as strong as Ford's high strength steel but it is lighter. Therefore, they use the Aluminum where strength isn't necessary, such as body panels. Ha nowhere did I say a truck body doesn't need strength.
