I cut myself curtain bangs last year according to your video tutorial. I was very happy with the outcome, and i keep coming back to that tutorial whenever i need a trim refreshment. That video of yours is the best guide for anyone who wants to experiment with curtain bangs. Thank you Gabi!!!
I'm over 60 and just got my hair cut in layers after a few years of blunt bob cut and l love it. It looks like layering is here to stay and I love it. It gives a youthful look.
I love the mid length hair, honestly I feel like long hair doesn’t do anything for some peoples faces yet lots of people are embracing the super long hair. The butterfly cut was my favourite back in the 90s I remember thinking Mandy Moore looked so cute with her butterfly haircut so my mom took me to the salon and I got it, thinking I will get it again. Loved this video.
I love the wolf cut! I have thin hair and I cut my own hair so I modify it to a blunt straight cut just at the bottom instead of the layered v cut. It looks amazing, like a trendy edgier butterfly cut! I get compliments all the time. Give it try, you won't regret it. Also, a trick to getting all the fun layers you want into your thin hair is to ask for disjointed layers and again no layering on the very bottom section, just a blunt cut instead. Your hair will look just as thick n fabulously layered than anyone else. This is how I cut my hair, most people don't believe me when I tell them my hair is thin.
I did the exact same thing….I have a wolf cut but did a blunt cut at the very bottom and got rid of that v cut . My hair is grey salt and pepper I’m 70 so it gives an edge to me ….great cut
Happy New year Gabi!, 🎉My favorite is actually your hairstyle.. .. It's versatile and feminine. I'm trying to stay patient and grow my hair out to a length like yours🤞Thanks for all your fantastic guidance.. ❤️
Yes! Butterfly cut is my go-to hairstyle when I need to "do my hair" for an event. It so easy, once you get the hang of it and it instantly glams up ones entire appearance.
I love most of the styles. With that said, having very thick, baby fine, natural curly hair. The shorter the cut and the more layers I get give me more volume than I want. These cuts are impossible without a lot of added styling time … straightening my hair would be a must to achieve the look. I’d love to see what you would suggest for us curly girls 😉❤
Gabi this is a gorgeous look for you! You are amazing! So many of us are loosing our hair because of side effect of Covid! Myself included! After being super safe for so long, I contracted Covid while in the hospital recovering from a heart attack in November of 2022. Sadly my hair was just started growing back after it fell out from the first stroke I had in March of 2022! I’m not complaining at all, so grateful to be here watching your videos all night and evening! I think you got the 90’s look haircut! How wonderful are you for making these videos for us more seasoned gals! You are an absolute delight! You’ve won my heart many times over! Bless your heart and thank you for all your hard work and dedication to your profession and your channel, and for just being who and what you are❣️✨🙏🏻✨🕊️✨❤️✨
I have just been lucky enough to have found you GLAM GIRL. Can you please advise me how to chose the right box blond for an over 55 that with very fine hair and who has blue eyes. You are just so very good at explaining everything and we love you in Australia 🇦🇺
I too have thin hair. Wish I had the hair to do the 90's supermodel cut...always been my absolute favourite. So glam! Your butterfly cut is a close second❤
I don’t usually comment, but your styling videos have been almost life changing and I would like to say thank you. The reason I say almost is because you have taught me so much about styling and for the first time I feel like I’m getting closer to figuring out how to do my hair, but I can’t quite get there because no matter what I try I can’t figure out how to get my hair clean; it’s like the shampoo goes in, I scrub, and then I go to rinse and it won’t come out. It leaves me with a sticky waxy residue that makes my hair super flat and dull. I’ve had this problem ever since I started doing my hair myself, and I feel like I’ve tried everything at this point. Apple cider vinegar rinses, baking soda, clarifying shampoos, scalp brush, every temperature of water, using less/more shampoo, washing my hair more or less often, double shampooing, etc. I have medium length 2c/3a hair that used to be somewhat thick, but is now on the medium/thin side as not being able to clean my hair is causing hair loss. It’s so embarrassing to not be able to wash my own hair properly and always have to leave the house with really disgusting, ugly hair and I know it’s stupid to get so upset about hair but I feel like I have zero confidence. I’ve never heard of anyone having this problem and I’m not quite sure what’s wrong with me because I’m really trying (I’ve spent up to 2 hours in the shower trying to rinse my hair), but I can’t figure it out. It’s gotten to the point where I don’t even want to leave the house because I know doing my hair will be such a struggle. If anyone has any suggestions on any shampoos or things to try I would really appreciate it (sorry for the essay, I’ve been bottling this for a while)!
This may be a dumb question, and you may already do this, but are you sure to get your scalp clean? Have you noticed any buildup on your scalp? Dandruff? If so, addressing those issues can really help with the "not clean" hair issue. When I shampoo someone that's the main thing to getting hair super clean and shiny, scrubbing that scalp!! Good luck and I hope you find something that works!! And be careful rinsing too much and putting too much tension on your hair by shampooing and rinsing, the tension can create hairless issues.
I've all the hairstyles but i love love your hair do is it possible for me to get a back picture of your hairstyle so i can do the same style please thank you
Odd, my daughter has a wolf cut but still has the curtain bangs in there and she gets compliments all the time. Some people can rock it well. For my look, I love layers and I’m taking the plunge on curtain bangs. It’s been years since I’ve had bangs.
I love the butterfly and think that is what you got. Thanks for all your tips, learn a lot on this channel. Could you show some cuts on older gray haired women also?
I’m really happy that you are learning and are happy with the content. I’m doing a lot of videos for more mature women coming up in the new year. I’m in the process of editing one right now. Stay tuned for that!
I got a wolf cut last year and I absolutely love it! I also don't really care too much about growing my hair out, so I never even considered it as an issue. I think it's so fun and easy to take care of and is a great cut for people who want something different!
You stated you got a modified Butterfly cut. I just went from one length, at the shoulder, to an above the should shaggy with fringe, and love it. Although the fringe is difficult to control with wavy hair!
Never been a fan of the wolf cut, still not a fan, glad to see it going away. The octopus cut is another odd version of it (ew). The pixie will always be around since it's so versatile and low maintenance. Happy new year 🙂
Happy New Year Dante! Yeah I don't like the octopus cut either. I'm pretty boring with hair. I just like typical pretty hair that isn't overly exciting. LOL.

Yes I agree with you about disliking the wolf and octopus cuts. It works for some very trendy young women but it’s a hard no for me. Thank you for the compliment on my hair. I am really happy with how it turned out this time. I appreciate you taking the time to comment ❤️
@@GlamGirlGabiAny advice for women with a widow’s peak? I have never been able to wear bangs because they don’t “lay” right, but I feel like my hair is starting to recede as I’m getting older. A hairstylist told me NEVER to go back to bangs, but I feel like I’m in a rut.
I feel the Pixie definitely is the cut of 2023. I got one a few years ago and see them everywhere. Now I’m trying to grow it out. Hopefully I’ll be patient enough to get a short Bob. I need a change. I have a BIG Birthday coming up …
I did cut my hair into a wolf cut in 2022, inspired by my favorite conscious beauty youtuber ( Hannah Louis Poston ) I loved on her & when she explained her hairdresser reasons of giving Hannahthe cut , i wantedthe same , and my sister cut it after we watched a video with simple instructions . Yes! Sometimes you just need the right terminology. Make sure to bring pictures too. Hairstylists tend to be very visual people and it is always helpful we can see what you like about a haircut.
for over a year I have grown out my pixie and that is a nightmare. I am now at a kinda shaggy bob which I love. and also I got some wispy bangs which really accommodate the pronounced cowlick that I have. I am 65 and there are so many women think that because you are that age you have to have a matronly haircut..not me. I really enjoy watching your videos
Thank You Gabby! Shaggy 70’s mid length !😎 Like to see how they style the back ! We need good hair stylists come our way to Vegas! 😊 Believe it or not !
I loved to see you give tips or show different hairstyles for older women with current up too date styles. I’m 64 hand just had my side shaved. But before doing that, I searched and searched to find hip looking hairstyles like you’re showing in your video, but they are all young women. It was hard to find something for older women. Im a new subscriber and love your content.
To me the octopus cut looks kinda like an uglier less messy version of the wolf cut. The wolf cut looks super cute if done right but I dont think I could every go for the octopus cut lol. I love all the cuts on here besides the octopus. I may go for that shag but maybe a little longer with some cutain or wispy bangs:) Thanks for all the info!
I got a wolf cut in early 2022 and I have INSANELY thick hair so it did bring out my curls with the lighter layers which I loved but once it grew out it turned into an octopus cut and since my hair is so thick it became really straight and looked ridiculously flat.
Medium length with some softer layering for me. My hair is fine and naturally wavy so that kind of style looks best. Tried a shoulder length bob last year...not a good choice for me.
I have had all lengths, from a pixie to long hair. Currently I have midlength, and I love that I can put it up, or leave it down with minimal fussing. When I had a pixie I felt like I had to fix it everyday or it would look wonky. I absolutely don't with midlength.

I’m experiencing the exact same dilema. If you get any good info on this, please share with me! Thank you!!
P.S. My appointment is Saturday!!
After seeing these hairstyles I’ll keep my hair long with curls at end smooth one length .
You look great in dark hair Gabi.
The 90's is the best
The butterfly is what you chose for your hair:)
You got the butterfly cut!
I gave myself a butterfly cut just before the new year! Hoping for a best year yet!
Do you love it? Happy New Year!!!
You got the butterfly.
Very beautiful!💐💆💝
To me the octopus cut looks kinda like an uglier less messy version of the wolf cut. The wolf cut looks super cute if done right but I dont think I could every go for the octopus cut lol. I love all the cuts on here besides the octopus. I may go for that shag but maybe a little longer with some cutain or wispy bangs:) Thanks for all the info!
I got a wolf cut in early 2022 and I have INSANELY thick hair so it did bring out my curls with the lighter layers which I loved but once it grew out it turned into an octopus cut and since my hair is so thick it became really straight and looked ridiculously flat.
would the short cut at 2:36 work for fine thin hair? Would it require loads of styling? Would it work with a squarish face?
Medium length with some softer layering for me. My hair is fine and naturally wavy so that kind of style looks best. Tried a shoulder length bob last year...not a good choice for me.
Lol! The mid length is always in style after the Bobs have a big moment. Because everyone starts wanting to grow out their Bob 😆
Pixie is my favorite cut!
You got your own butterfly cut. As a girl with fine hair, I appreciate your channel so much. Happy New Year! 😊
Thank you Courtney! I appreciate having you here as apart of the community! Happy New Year!!!
Wish the trends included example pics of curly hair. There is a huge demographic missing. Thanks for the info.
You got the butterfly cut. That's what I want too!
The bixie cut would look awesome on you 💜
Your hair is gorgeous! My favorite of all of the styles.
Thank you so much!! That is so sweet :)
My favorite was the bob + pixie. Took some screenshots. Ty!
Your makeup and hair is absolutely refreshing and beautiful! On point!
I still like the Bob cut!
I love hair cuts.
What about the Jennifer Aniston layered cut?
I have had all lengths, from a pixie to long hair. Currently I have midlength, and I love that I can put it up, or leave it down with minimal fussing. When I had a pixie I felt like I had to fix it everyday or it would look wonky. I absolutely don't with midlength.
I will never be able to find the right cut for me. I can stand it
A lot of these trends especially with the fringe, reminds me of South Korean hair styles.
Love long hair!
I love the pixie and with a undercut clipper style.
Butterfly cut 😊 your hair is stunning
You got it Wendy!!! Can you email me your mailing address at inquiry@glamgirlgabi.com? I’m going to send you a prize!
Love Mid length! Thanks Jennifer 😄
